I noted within patch notes for February 9th that the TOS Constitution bonus power of +5 to all subsystems will now be only +3 to all subsystems. I wonder if this is because the NX offers +5 to weapons and the Oberth offers +5 to auxiliary?
Does it make sense to lower the TOS Constitution's bonus in the long run, I wonder?
I saw the +3 in the patch notes and saw somebody else say this was a nerf, so I had to look in game. I know the C-store description says +5 all systems, but across a number of characters mine has never had any power bonus at all. I'm checking right now on a new character and setting to the default attack setting I get 100/100, 50/50, 25/25, 25/25.
(Preemptive here: I am doing this in normal space, not sector. I don't have efficient on this guy and didn't claim my borg boff, so he's got nothing that would increase any power levels except the ship's innate bonus, which appears here to be nothing)
It looks like this isn't a reduction, but an increase. Though I'd say you're right on the reason - the science vessel and escort get partial versions of their lines' power bonuses, and now the cruiser does, too.
You're right. I also peeked at mine on Holodeck and I'm not seeing the +5 bonuses applied either. But I can see clearly the +3 reflected currently on Tribble. While odd that the original bonuses weren't working as described on C-Store, I suppose that +12 (across all four subsystems) is pretty good compared to +5 on only one for the NX and Oberth.
