I have to ask, will the existing NPC Galors and Keldons be retrofitted with the spiral wave disrupters?

Those Klingon ships were never npc ships,to my knowledge and are irrelevant because they are totally unrelated to the grab bags. As for the Galor, with a Dominion Featured Series I would have expected the to be improved for the NPCs anyways.

Except that its nothing like a science ship... no innate subsystem targetting... no damage bonus for keeping a target lock... the ONLY way it resembles science is the improved shields and manueverability... but I'd just say its a faster cruiser with better shields... cause thats what it is... this ship is in no way science :p

Over-powered? Check.
Gambling at undisclosed rates required to get it? Check.

So, it would appear that Cryptic has only learned one thing from their previous fiasco - that gambling is profitable for the ones running the show.

Pretty shameful, IMO, but I guess you do what you have to in order to keep the lights on.

That flimsy backstory is dumb and doesn't fit the facts we saw in the show.
Is it too late to change it?
Friend of mine suggested they could have been confiscated ships by Federation and KDF at the end of the war and the following peace treaty with the Cardassians would require the Cardassians to tolerate them to be used in any Defense in case the Dominion ever returned to war.

I thought that sounded kind of loony when they released the bugship, but even more so now. It's a fairly common ship in Trekdom..
Dunno if you're the only one, but you're probably in the minority. CBS knows that protecting its IP means protecting its value. There are a few folks at CBS who are actual fans, believe it or not. They have made the decision that they don't want the Feds or KDF flying around in ships that wouldn't make sense, and presumably only relented when a mechanism was devised to make the ships very rare.

But whatever; people like conspiracy theories.

Cool stats, almost everything I was looking for in the Odyssey (turn rate a bit higher but the extra tac console and less powerful universal slot).

I've always said that the great thing about the state-sponsored lottery is that it's basically a tax I don't have to pay.

The same is true here. Don't want to encourage this? Don't buy the keys. But if people do buy lots of keys or red boxes or whatever, isn't it possible -- just possible -- that they WANT to?
