Silly question IMO

Do you want more DPS? Tac
Do you want more survivability? Eng

Fiddle with skills and experiment, I wish I could do after the ~30 boxes I've opened so far...

Its a tact cruiser. I wasted it on my eng...

Fast turn rate
Above average weapons
5 BO slots
+10 shields & weapons.

Wonder if i could pm a gm to get him to swap the ship back to my tact....

Edit: 20 boxes, 20 keys. 1800CP. I got the ship on the LAST box with my LAST key.

That sucks, I have opened 8 boxes so far and still have yet to get it as well.

OT: From first site, it looks like an engineering ship because of it's consoles and bridge officer slots, but now that you think about it, it's is more of a tactical ship because of DPS, turn rate, and how weak it is to cruisers.

Tactical. If you want engineering go excelsior. I took one with Front and rear; 2 Spiral Disruptor's, 1 Quantum, and 1 photon torpedo, and had a blast with it doing the new FE fight

i went eng. its has poor hull and can be a bit squishy so i gave it to my engineer to beef up.

for non pvp and stf's a tac should do nicely as its very tac orientated. it should do either very well, but it does come down to what is more important. a little extra dps or survivability.

went with tact no problem with survivability the hull is fine I do better in this ship than the excelsior. its a ship made for a tact its kinda wasted on an engineer as they are about tanking and this ship is clearly about damage.

Same here, I spent a day looking threads on builds, weapons, consoles, and BOFF layouts on my Galor for my Eng captian (VA 50).

Tried it last in "Infected" space and like some things in the build (shields, and hull) the DPS's won't match a escort but did okay.

Still a work in progress.

I wish the STFs had a damage\heals\tanking meters in it much like PVP has meters. Maybe one day. Sot he only real way to see hwo much damage you can do its in PVP.

So I took her into pvp and boy I am a target. LOL

Once I teamed with some Fleet mates i was able to do very well and often was near or the top dps in the group with a team that is very good. I am sure I am just reinventing the wheel but a TAC in a cruiser is like DPS over time...and an escort is burst DPS. I posted some builds that I did but it really draws down to the following:

1. Beamboat (FAW)
2, BeamBoat (Overload Beam)
3. Cannon build

I havent tested the OB version yet but so far I have done very high dps in pvp matches. Its all variable but the proof is when there is a bad match I am often teh top dps in my group...so cruiser dps is real..its just not burst dps (unless your OB crits).
