I didn't like the Second Wave's dialogs. They seemed too... primtiive. Not well written. Not really believable. I mean particularly the dialog during the conference itself.
But it had some interesting elements, like using DOFFs as part of the mission, and the DS9 battle also had some new tricks with the new DS9 weapon turrets. Much better than the attempt to simulate this in one of the older DS9 missions (wonder if that has been overhauleld with the new tech?)
Of Bajor had a lot of exploring stuff, and also intersting elements like optional or alternative paths through the story. I found some of the missions a little too bland (scan several things in a row for Tactical), but overall I found it better.
For me it's felt a little too much like a DS9 re-run. Sure we'd encountered the Breen, Devidians and had plenty of Romulan stuff over the years, but generally not to the extent that we'd encountered the Dominion over on DS9. We had pretty much six whole seasons building up to and dealing with them, and this FE series is retreading too closely to it.
