Point Defense also came with my pre-oreder of the deluxe at gamestop and the tactical console comes with steam pre-oreder i got both =).

Are you spamming the fire button? Because if you do that I've noticed it will keep resetting the firing sequence. Make sure you have all the turrets set to auto-fire, then hit your fire button once and that should start most of them going. Then hit the button again and it should activate the last couple.

You should definitely use auto-fire and avoid spamming the fire button as it has poor results.

I thought turrets were nerfed and no one used them anymore!, goes to show what I know,
a big turret boat interests me, stinks they are like the most expensive weapons on the market, but I am going to look into this for sure.

My odyssey has similar issues. What's the delay in firing for arrays, because on the odyssey they seem to pop off all at once, and they don't fire for a bit. O.o

Tried with auto-fire and w/o. Just does 6 either way. Not the same 6, just a random 6. Guess I'll go put a thread in the bugs forum.

Yes, at low power levels and/or high number of weapons turrets can be better than beams. However, you really would be better off running with higher weapon power than 50.

Yeah, it must be a bug. But, if it makes you feel better you're not losing too much by going with 6 turrets.

Another thing you could try is using two cannons in the front combined with 6 turrets. That will increase your frontal damage by quite a bit. However, if the bug is simply related to the total number of weapons then that won't help.

Regarding using the turret consoles, unless you could put them somewhere other than a tactical slot, it'd probably be detrimental to firepower. The reason it works in the Bortas seems to be because you've got four tactical consoles. It's a shame the graphics for turrets seem limited to two hardpoints, as all your firepower coming from just two places on something so massive can look odd.
