The heavy torpedo? The one that you can shoot down, this is the one your complaining about?
Take your DPS off the cube, kill the torpedo, re-target the cube.
That helps if you can even see it, and even then there's no guarantee you'll see it in time. I watched a Plasma torpedo flying towards a team mate yesterday so dropped my target to try and hit that instead. Unfortunately, the torpedo was still almost 5 km from the ship when the ship exploded (and the combat log confirmed it was the heavy plasma torpedo that was responsible).If it was a case of looking for them then I'd not have a problem but the problem torpedoes aren't even the destructible HY plasma's, it's the basic torpedoes that are auto fired and hit for anything between 65 and 150k per hit.
Taking my fire away from the Cube would help if the damn things were actually rendered on a regular basis but just like Tyken's and GW they aren't always there to be seen and it's hard to prepare for what you can't see.
Im kinda on the fence about this onew. On one hand an escort really shouldnt be able to park in a firing position and just blast away, as they essentially can if not for the torps and cutting beam, on the other hand I've seen the torp one-shot the Oddysey with RSF going and Tac team ... so ... yeah, that is a little excessive, I think.
