Fleet Escort - Defence Mode
I use a an Omega Mk11 shield, 2x electroceramic plates, giving me:

44.9% Plasma damage resist
7323 Shields
38,808 Hull

I got agro so i switched to defence mode, 125 Power in shields.

for the torp to wipe my shields and hull in 1shot on NORMAL stf is abit OP tbh lol

The Big O, 55,000+ Hull, shields--12,000+

Range dmg in STF Elite seen--68,000+ 79,000+ and 98,000+

On a very bad day,238,9(8)00+

Actually survived a One shot, with Hull left at 13%, shield *forward* was down to a half or a third.

Your Fleet Escort is not strong enough to survive such punishment.

Second, the targeted area seems to be the Warp Core.

Just need a stronger ship...and luck

Yeah all im saying is that if it's gonna one shot anything that isnt a tanked up star cruiser or science ship with buffs up, something needs looking at lol

I know escorts are not meant to take damage but to blow up the second i take agro lol

maco mk11, science ship shields about 14.5k , hull about 33k. one shotted by torp with shields fully up. and a native 35% kentic resist. hit by torp for 40k ish.

good times.

The heavy torpedo? The one that you can shoot down, this is the one your complaining about?

Take your DPS off the cube, kill the torpedo, re-target the cube.

or bfaw, evasive and then attack it unles the tac cube being a troll with ur polarize hall on cd then ur screwed. when the cude nabs u with the tractor beam, yeah one shot hurt the ego too

That helps if you can even see it, and even then there's no guarantee you'll see it in time. I watched a Plasma torpedo flying towards a team mate yesterday so dropped my target to try and hit that instead. Unfortunately, the torpedo was still almost 5 km from the ship when the ship exploded (and the combat log confirmed it was the heavy plasma torpedo that was responsible).If it was a case of looking for them then I'd not have a problem but the problem torpedoes aren't even the destructible HY plasma's, it's the basic torpedoes that are auto fired and hit for anything between 65 and 150k per hit.
Taking my fire away from the Cube would help if the damn things were actually rendered on a regular basis but just like Tyken's and GW they aren't always there to be seen and it's hard to prepare for what you can't see.

OK Invisible torpedos do suck.

I started fighting the Borg Cubes from above, now I have all beams on my cruiser so it's much easier, but it does take me out of their torpedo arc.

Borg ships don't adjust angle, so perhaps you can try that.

Im kinda on the fence about this onew. On one hand an escort really shouldnt be able to park in a firing position and just blast away, as they essentially can if not for the torps and cutting beam, on the other hand I've seen the torp one-shot the Oddysey with RSF going and Tac team ... so ... yeah, that is a little excessive, I think.
