Mine is pretty close to your setup and the only major difference is I use the Remen shield with the Borg engines / console / deflector...I still end up with the shield proc (3 parts borg for that)...

On test, I played around with a quad cannon up front, but I inevitably didnt do that live as the scalability didnt seem to pan out to well on DPS...

Do you guys recommend using 3 pcs of the the Borg set for the Guramba? Is it worth running? If so I will be using the deflector, engines and console for the hull and shield regen and my shield will be the KHG shield.

For my Tactical Guramba, I have been using the Borg console / engine and deflector with the Reman shield and for Pve its been totally fine so far...once i get a better shield, I will swap it out.

For my Engineer Guramba (work in progress), I have the same config as above, but I'm sure I will be swapping it out for the Breen set since I'm using Polaron weapons and working on a "leech" build...

Ok..how about pvp wise? I mostly pvp in a Guramba and so far without using the 3 pcs of the Borg set, I just use the console, I've been doing just fine. I've been using the KHG set for pvp. I just want to tank a bit more while still dishing out damage. I don't do so well when I have 3 or 4 ships hitting my shields all around. So was thinking of running the 3 pcs of the Borg set just for the shield regen plus the hull regen is nice to have as well but just interested in the shield regen proc.

I personally use the entire borg set, because that free borg tractor beam can be useful for nabbing those pesky escorts right in front of your giant FUBAR gun.

everyone is so nice and helpful Makes me happy that i stuck it out on this side.Thank you so much for all the help i am very sure alot of people will find this info and opinions very helpful.

So far i went with 3x DHC and i quantum torp infront 3x turrets back
and followed all the consoles you guys said.
and i have to say its very effective in dps.
And javalin hits pretty hard biggest that i noticed so far was 80k
But i am sure as i get better gear it will only get better.

As for boff i went with
TT1 x2
TS2 x2
CSV2 x2
APO3
thats for tactical boffs
The rest is the normal stuff people usually run
I would like to try a DBB upfront but im unsure on how to do the tac boff layout.

If I knew how to post screenshots i'd link the 120k crit my engineer got in his siege destroyer. Don't ask how lol. If you really want to run a DBB up front I think you should probably replace the torp launcher. 3 different weapon systems on a ship (turrets/cannons, beams, torps) is pretty hard to sort out. I'd try one of these setups.

3x DHC + 1x DBB

Commander tac
TT I, C:SV/C:RF I, B:TSSS III, AP:B III

lt. com tac
TT I, C:SV/C:RF I, APO 1

OR

2x DHC + 1x DBB + 1x QT

commander tac
TT I, C:SV/C:RF I, B:TSSS III, AP:B III

lt com tac
TT I, C:SV/C:RF I, T:HY III

The problem with a DBB is that Beam Overload shares a rather annoying cooldown with the Javelin. Beam: Target Shields Subsystem is still as good as ever as long as you spec into it properly. Probably one of my favorite BO skills of all time.

If you intend to do STFs your team will always like you more for using Attack Pattern Beta over Omega. These days Beta is a better damage buff anyway and you could try using polarize hull if the borg tractor beams scare you. To be honest they are nowhere near as much of a problem as they used to be.

Its all good. After doing some pvp matches today I decided to stick with the KHG set. I tried the 3 pcs of the Borg set..didn't like it since the shield regen proc never happened, only the hull regen worked. But anyways, once you get the KHG your going to LOVE the shields
