I think there should be a rule about puting a common sign that it's a foundry challenge mission- something like FC1 for Foundry Challenge 1.
That way it would make it a lot easier to search for all the challenge missions.
You'd get the whole list, at least for a Fed or Klingon.

So the next mission would carry FC2 on the title.
I love this idea! It creates a tag system.

Make it so, I say!

Congratulations, Maziken!

This was a well-deserved win. Also nice to see a Klingon mission take the prize.

Can't wait for the next challenge!

Thanks folks! It is greatly appreciated, I'm just glad that Foundry authors are getting some well-deserved play-time and recognition. Here are a few things I would suggest to Foundry authors who are going to participate in the future Foundry Challenges.

1. Use [OOC]Foundry Challenge #X [/OOC] in the Mission Description to let players know it is part of the Foundry Challenge.

2. In the very last dialog tree of your mission, include some more to tell players how to actually vote for your mission in the challenge. I put in a little blurb to go to the forums and send PWE_Branflakes a PM if you thought my mission was deserving of a vote.

3. He may strangle me for this, but I would seriously suggest that authors take Evil70th up on his offer of in-depth mission review. He does a great job of helping authors find spelling / grammatical errors as well as other bugs and suggestions for missions that are really helpful.

In terms of what Cryptic can do for the future challenges:

1. Advertise it a little more. Put a post in the Federation News Network on the forums and maybe even some kind of Bulletin in-game.

2. Have these Challenge missions fore-go the required five needed reviews before the mission is available to non-reviewers. Let these missions start out being available to all of the players. I was lucky enough to have my mission get past the five needed reviews after the second day, but there was another KDF mission that just reached the needed reviews only two days ago and it is a shame it took that long.

3. Not really a suggestion, just an assumption that a lot of the above suggestions will be handled if a tagging system gets put in-place for the Foundry Mission UI at some point.

Everyone was a winner with this first challenge, there were some really great missions. I need to get in touch with @number156 so he / she can show me how to make some of those awesome custom maps.

I'm excited to see what is in store for the next challenge!

What didn't you like about the mission? Too long? Not enough combat? Bad dialog? I tried looking for your review on my list of reviews for my mission but I wasn't able to see where you left any feedback at all.

Your mission was great and I think it does deserve to be spotlighted..

That doesn'\t mean I wouldn't go over it and try and make it better.
Maybe some things to look at since we're not on the clock to finish it.
1. Maybe add in some optional missions that connect with the mission to give a deeper background. Like the Ferengi backstory or some Stahlonian history backstory or even a side rondeyvous with an orion girl.
2. Throw in some trigger effects to keep things unexpected. Trigger people beaming people coming down to Risa- not even aware of the killing or a random barfight because of drunk patrons- anything really to make the world completely alive.
3. You could also put in a few optional battles for people who like more combat. Maybe have someone say that they were robbed and if you can get the stuff back from the gang you took it.

Again, these are just fillers. You have a great mission and its good to see that people continue to keep playing them.

PS- if you do add things, post it so that I can run through it again.

Look I am really sorry - don't mean to come across as a pr!ck :p. Nothing personal it just wast my cup of tea. I didn't want to criticize your mission in detail, but I don't think its suitable for the Spotlight section.

I was not a fan of the dialogue mainly with too many 1-line dialogue boxes. I am sure you put in a lot of work. But I feel that the Foundry Spotlight section should be kept for some real polished 5-star stories. Having said that, I personally don't like 'The Longing - RachelGarrett', but I really love 'The Syndicate Extraction - Galactrix'

That's just me though.

I understand that, but if you don't give Foundry authors feedback on their missions, then we won't get better. You need to tell us what you like and what you don't like so that we can incorporate different players' likes into future missions.
