I bought the bundle and don't see any problem with it. Yes you can get the TOS and ENT uniforms separately but you want the admiral DS9 uniform. You can get the DS9 uniform separately as well and get the First Contact uniforms for free with the game which are the late DS9 uniforms. A huge bonus I think.
If you compare the 3 available bundles you will agree that the price is more than fair. You get a beautifully designed bridge AND interior (why do some user compare the prices with the standalone bridges?), the DOFFs (come on who don't uses the DOFF system?), weapons (ok didn't need those) and the uniforms. In my view that bundle is a bargain if you are a DS9 Fan.
The TOS bundle is only 200 C-Points cheaper and has no DOFFs (which are I think worth 400-500 C-Points [you can't compare them to the cadres because you get 100% a very rare and two rare officers]), and no weapons.
The DS9 bundle is hands-down one of the best purchases I've made from the C-Store.
The interior and bridge are fantastic for my Defiant Retrofit (looking through the DS9 Technical Manual and being able to visit all the locations is great).
The Admiral's uniform is a lot of fun, and is different enough from the normal uniforms to stand out.
The Bajoran weapons are pretty 'meh,' though they come in handy for leveling characters.
The duty officers are great to have, and the Romulan duty officer N'Vek is amazing for the Defiant Retrofit and for Klingons because of the +15 Aux while cloaked.
And the shuttle, well... who doesn't want a Type 10 for their Defiant? Especially since it has one of the few non-combat shuttle pets that are properly sized.
All in all, the entire package was well worth the cost.
The problem is, you must buy all at once. I bought the bundle at the discount with focus on the ship interieur, hoping the rest will be satisfying.
The Duty Officers are OK. The weaponry also, if you play a bajoran or have a bajoran BO.
The shuttle ... nothing special.
To my mind the Vedek costume is senseless. Why should a Vedek fly around with a starfleet ship?
Additional you can combine the articles of clothing only with robes ...
If you are a die hard DS9 fan, maybe it pleases your need for collecting DS9 items. For a better game experience it is valueless.
They should split the bundle.
1) Ship intreur + shuttle.
2) Vedek, weaponry and Duty Officers
Whilst I'm not planning on getting myself the DS9 pack anytime soon, I think that each item in the pack could also be sold separately, but with each item at a slightly higher price so that the sum total is more expensive than buying the bundle (similar to the individual Odyssey variants @ 2000 CP vs the full three-ship Odyssey bundle @ 4000 CP).
I bought the Bundle and I love it. Of course as you can see from my avatar my main character is Bajoran but I use all parts of the pack. The rifle is on my main, and for me It cuts through NPC's very quickly. I love the Defiant interior, and the Vedeks robes, ok so a full Vedek in command of a starfleet ship not a good idea. Split up the robes and you can make some nice formal clothing, with little effort.
As for the Chaffee Shuttle. I have three shuttles, but I use the Chaffee for everything. I have flown all of them and always come back to the little Type X.
There are a few Items from the pack that I want. But most of it I could care less about. I don't buy shuttles, I don't buy Duty Officers.
I want the Admiral's uniform (aught to be included in the TNG Movie uniform anyway, but I'll deal) separately.
And if there are Cardassian Duty Officers then what's stopping Cardassians from rising to the ranks of Bridge Officer or even Captain? (ie: Can we have Cardassian BOs and the option to choose Cardassian during Character Creation, please?)
An one else wondering why these items come only in the pack with everything else?
Love you guys, I just don't want to buy a single uniform (effectively) for 1800 points.
Let me know if these are in the plans
Technically, you can make a perfect Cardiassian using the Aliengen options.
