# 1 Played Episode 1 - 2800

Okay so its been a year since the last features series. Ive played the first episode and my reaction is ... its ok. I think there was a bug in mine. When escorting The ambassadors only The Gorn and Bajorian Security Officer fought... the others did nothing... weren't even shot at. They were utterly worthless. I can understand The Dereri Ambassador not doing anything but A Starfleet Captain and a Admiral.... that was messed up and made the mission almost impossible. I also couldn't use any of my special ground abilities like Turret. Whats up with that?

The space battle was cool, a bit short but good.

The beginning was good too.

All in all I think it was ok... That bug, hopefully its a bug drove me nuts... actually stopped the mission thinking it was a bug I could fix with a restart.

Look forward to Saturdays mission

If you are a tactical..there is a weapon you can pick up at the start of the ground fight. That weapon is given to the StarFleet captain who then will shoot back and throw gernades, but you have to be a tactical or have a tactical in your team.

well, a friend and i finally got a chance to start this new episode last nite. took us both a while to finally get on the same maps to run it. then after fighting our way off DS9 we got to bajor and he had to rerun it cuz he didnt get a missions completion.

voice acting was painful to listen to. we read everything just to get thru it quicker.

overall..imho its been the worse episode yet.

The mission itself doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, imo.

I guess I always thought this game was supposed to be based rather strictly on the TV series' and the movies, but it seems not.

Meaning, why can't the ambassadoors be beamed to the ship, given that the stations shields appear to be down (given that the jem'hadar are beaming directly into the docking ring etc)

Seems to be a lot of changes or oddities in STO which were put in on purpose, which contradict or are out of place, when looking back on the tv series' and movies.

The station shields may be down but the shields around the Fed Ship is space are up due to a Dominion Fleet fighting them, so it does make sense to have to get to the docking ring to return to the ship. The escort part was a bit tough but i got through it with only one death for myself and one for the Gorn. The space battle was fun though i did not save all the ships. I have to do the Bajor mission now. Having just returned to the game it is the first episode I have done so i enjoyed it.

i will say that besides the bad voice acting and some of the questionable inconsistances...the overall graphics design of bajor was good. but, i am a bit disappointed with the overall episodes compared to the first ones created.
