That is incorrect.

Borg Engine + Slipstream is just as fast as Efficient Mk IV engine + Slipstream. The MACO is sort of the exception since it increases driver coil, but that is effectively having more than 9 points in driver coil then.

Yeah you're right sorry I forgot to put a question mark after where I typed Borg Engine in brackets; because I kinda forgot and was asking, but that one grammatical error... lol

Never mind and anyway on that note what speed do MACO engines take you at Slipstream? They're slower than the Borg Engines by 2 warp factors normally aren't they?

Yes. Maxed Driver Coil + Borg Engine = ~ Warp 30. Maxed Driver Coil + MACO Engine = ~ Warp 28. the other numbers RAJ quoted are also correct.

I wasn't really *surprised* to see the drop in speed with the MACO engine vs. the Borg engine (because I read the tooltips ahead of time) but it does seem slightly odd given that one costs 5 EDC and the other costs 20 or 40.

Thankfully (for me, at least) the very nifty subspace bubble effect makes up for the speed. And honestly, the 2 Warp Factors is hardly noticeable.
