I am running a ati HIS 6770 Card, not everclocked on a fresh System (2 days old, got a new PC). CCC (version12.1) temperature was around 60C. Is this a known problem in this game?

I've been getting that since day 1. Seems to not effect the gameplay or the GFX any though.

Congratulations, you guys have been TDR-ed

TDR, also knows as Timeout Deteection and recovery gives your Graphics card 2 seconds to react before it resets the driver.
Nvidia has yet to push out a fix for this, and it also happens on ATI sometimes.
The only workaround is editing/creating up to 3 registry files

Some reasons for it are:
-Overclocking
-Overheating
- Driver
-[...]

I managed to get rid of it while playing STo, but still have it in games like King Arthur II, to an extend that I can't finish a battle, so don't worry guys you are not alone with this.

Possible Solutions:

- Edititng/creating the registry files
- Always update your driver (even using beta drivers) until its fixed
- Don't use Aero-Desktop envirionment (does at least help with STO)
