Ok, This may either be a newbie question or a legitimate problem.
Way back when STO first launched, I was able to play for a little while, acquiring 8 bridge officers in the process. Now that the game is F2P, I've come back, and decided to dismiss two officers who I never used.
I soon found out that every time I get a new Boff, they keep telling me that I don't have any available room on my ship.
I was told that I could free up spots simply by unassigning my current officers from their stations. That didn't work. I was also told you could assign Boffs to other ships, so I switched over to my Odyssey cruiser and tried that out. Didn't work either.
I've heard that you can have.. what was it again? A max of 12 bridge officers per character? How come I'm stuck with 6? I only have two tactical officers. If I upgrade to a Multi-vector escort, I won't even be able to use all three tactical stations.
Is there a limitation to how many F2P account characters can have, or is my character bugged or something? Any answers you can give would be appreciated.
I'd have to check the F2P matrix but I do believe there is a limit to how many bridge officers F2P get, but you can always buy more BOFF slots from th c-store.

6 is the limit for the number of BO slots for a 'Silver' account. And the only way you can make room for a new BO (besides buying a BO slot) is to kick an existing commissioned BO off your ship, losing him for good...
Ok. To be honest, all I really need is another tactical officer so I can take full advantage of the multi-vector escort. I could get rid of my other unused science officer, but I think I'll just buy some slots and just increase my bridge bunnies by 2 instead.
