I keep seeing posts on the forums and chats in the PVP chat channel that sing high praises for the skill. I finally did the grind to get the two pieces of the Omega set and have been slightly disappointed in it. I guess my question is how far do i need to invest in this to make it worth while. I run emblem anti-proton DHC on my defiant but I hear that Tet Glider works best with Pol/Tet. Is it still a worth while skill with the other weapon types. I currently have no points invested into flow cap. I am out of respecs and would hate to give the crazies anymore of my money for get another token. I just don't exactly understand the mechanics behind this skill to justify spending all of the money to get a new weapon loadout and another respec token. How much realistic shield damage does it do and do you find it worth giving up the tanking ability of the MACO/Borg loadout.
its free damage. anything that causes extra free damage to any weapon that you use can only be a good thing. and since it only needs 2 peices you can still do the 2 peice borg set for free extra hull heals.
rememebr! anything free in pvp is always good because its free!
I'm with my brother panda on this one, you give things up to run this...
-Running the shield and another piece, this gives up wearing a really good shield for an OK one
-Slotting the engine and deflector and stick with the Haco shields, but then you lose the borg hull proc
-Stacking flow capacitors to buff the glider a ton, but you loose the benefits of other sci consoles which have been improved
-Using a non-set-piece deflector with a larger flow capacitor bonus will buff it even more, but once again you are sacrificing having any of the borg healing procs.
this is a good bonus, just make sure you prioritize in your build.
have fun kill bad guys

anywho, let me clear that up...in my defiant i had to move the cloaking console back to the engie slot, which i had been running 2 eps, and a neutronium. so, we're not dropping the eps there...so neutronium had to go. and to max out flow capacitors i pulled the +35 to fit 2 flow cap consoles. also messed around with swapping out a non-set deflector too....
all in all...running (and maxing) tet glyder on a defiant became very pricey. loss of at least 1 set bonus, +35 shields, and no room for any lolconsoles.
that did get me up to about 90 i think, which lamid had posted above. either way it ended up just being to hard to max, so, i put everything back as it was, no consoles, no deflector ect....and back to just an average proc of 50 or so.
thanks aldo for expressing basically this while i couldnt post. -shifty eyes-
