# 1 Things to Do in a shuttle:

Some potentially quick to implement changes to boost shuttle use (Which also boosts shuttle C-store sales everyone wins.)

Some/All/May of these ideas may of been covered elsewhere but I'm lazy and don't want to look I couldn't see a post on the front pages so here's some ideas for using shuttles that I believe (Though It may not be true) Would be relatively easy to implement.

Shuttle PVP
PVP lists for dedicated shuttle play only - Really requires just one list possible just Arena or rotating Arena/Capture & Hold
We know from The 3rd Mission of this FE and the Mission in the Vault that instances can be Flagged for Shuttle Use only and possibly add in a new wrapper mission/Event Listing for shuttle PVP Dilithium Daily/Repeatable
--Possible but less quickly implemented could be dedicated shuttle maps - smaller maps maybe some obstacles/asteroids/things to hide in/behind/fight around.

New Tech maybe required for following but I'm not sure.
Shuttle Racing Type 1
To some maps you could simply add Navigation points first one to hit all Nav points (In Order) wins the match
Again Daily/Event listing for repeatable goodies Dilithium/Level appropriate Item etc.
A good example of an existing map would be the One with the swarms and asteroids from the New FE put Nav Points at the entrance and Exit of several asteroids (This keeps a semblance of a track as you can't just skip out big bits of the map)
Have all weapons/abilites turned off a straight race, best pilot wins.

Shuttle Racing PVP
Free-For-All
Almost the same as above with the nav points except in this one all weapons and abilities are active so you could choose to try and blow up an enemy ship/slow it down, more than you slow yourself down by fighting or just race head. Additional Objects around the map to add extra challenge say Cloaking Mines, random enemies if you go too far from the race lanes.
Group Racing
More of a challenge as winner is by overall places so say 3v3 you might come in first then the 3 enemy shuttles then your over team mates so winning is a team effort.
Additional tactics come into play here One teammate might be used to slow the enemy while you attempt to come First/Second, Points for each place Most points wins match.

Other Possible Racing Maps: Anywhere with Big asteroids there's an early mission/patrol Fed side where you have to run through 4 points without being able to go full impulse Nav Bouy in the middle with Shuttle PVP makes an interesting Map.
Any Map really with lots of obstacles/Big asteroids etc things you have to manoeuvre around/through make for good racing maps.

Shuttle Rescue
Daily Missions where you use your shuttle to find/tow/retrieve stuck ships make it a team map to encourage socialisation so ideally 3-5 shuttles using tractor beams to tow target, random objects/ships/debris e.g. Comet coming at the ship so you either concentrate on getting ship out of the way, stop to blow up asteroid first, slow down enemy ships etc etc.

Atmospheric Flights -Suavek
Fighting in shuttle's on Ground Maps with objectives to be bombarded/other ships to fight, would probably work best on larger maps such as the gigantic map in the desert from the Romulan FE.
-Ground Map might have to be manually flagged to allow shuttles as an eligible choice for those Maps but It could be very interesting though scaling sizes might make this problematic.

Shuttle STF/Fleet Action -Framesplicer/Wirge/Valmont/Various~
An STF for shuttles this would probably take more work to create a good mission with a challenge.
Basic Idea: Shuttles Go in to a Unimatrix have to shut down sensors/tractors to enable sneaking in/future escape (Optional Objective: Destroy within X seconds of each other, without being seen)
After this Sneak through Unimatrix complex, avoid certain spheres/cube groups, Get to end of map Destroy Gateway being used to send ships through the Transwarp gateways in Khitomer Accord and Infected Space Maps.

Rewards: EDC/Random TECH Possibly/
Add in shuttle items to the Borg Store, Everyone Wins \o/

Shuttle Interiors - Ashur
For the RP Crowd - Would probably need something to do in there to justify the outlay of time and effort.





Sorry if the structure is terrible and If I ramble but I do believe these are some simple yet good ideas for giving us reasons to use a shuttle.

I had a thought about how shuttle racing should be added to this game the other day. It sounds cool! I like the Shuttle PvP idea too, or maybe even a Shuttle STF if it can be done right...

Shuttle racing like the episode in Voyager I would like it, it would also give the new yellow stone a leg up with its "eject warp plasma" engine.

i ran all the curent stf's on normal in full shuttle teams. it was acturally very fun and amazingly we completed all of them too..:p

A daily mission where you inspect your ship while in drydock and oversee repairs/upgrades would be fantastic. If only they would give you a Work Bee as well.

Just a thought, we see Work Bees everywhere, would it be likely that a few colonies or fringe groups had modified them with weak shields and a weapons array for use as sublight raiders?
