One does wonder if you could have some sort of update countdown that appears in game 10 mins or so before you about to mess with anything, just to warn people to Finnish up what they are doing.

This way you'd not have to put up with all of the "i just lost everything i owned because of this" blah blah..

Just a thought...?

OK, so i was close in saying that they could simply mirror the stuff from the live server to the backup. My idea probably has more overhead involved (and more headaches for the tech guys)

How unexpected....
This would have been the stf run where i would have got a proto tech once in a hundred runs.

Sadly it's kinda hard to warn users about an unexpected server crash. :/

They do that with "Scheduled Maintenance". You can't exactly schedule a random server crash... or can you???

Wow. They certainly aren't winning any fans... Does it only happen on Monday afternoons? Cause last time I was on and it crashed was on last Monday.

Ive just spoke to a vet who has been called out to cryptic HQ - apparently the hampster that runs the wheel, that powers the server has died!
