Wait, I'm confused...

In this thread, http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...d.php?t=261849 , CapHorizon and Husanak advocated using CRF3 and APO1, because the dmg boost from APO is applied only to base damage, so you'll end up with higher dmg from CRF3.

I haven't checked it myself, but it seemed from memory that I had higher damage figures with CRF3 and APO1 than CRF2 and APO3.

<EDIT> Just checked it, you get about 1.3% higher damage and DPS with APO3 and CRF2.

The advantage of having CRF3 is that you than have CRF3+APO1 in both stages of the buff cycle. With APO3 you alternate between CRF2+APO3 and CRF2+APO1 (which is obviously weaker).

I still think that APO3 is the better choice for the purposes of my guide, since I want the builds to be single-player achievable, i.e. without requiring another captain to train them.

Yeah, starting to work has indeed weakened his body's defences. Or was it his excited interest in certain beverages? :p

I feel his pain.
Between allergies I didn't know I had and a common cold, I too would secretly bludgeon someone if it would relieve my discomfort.
Glad to hear the impending death is more fantasy than fact.

You know you're a klingon player when to relieve your pain, you would gladly harm another.
