If I were Klingon and the prisoners started to escape containment, I will nuke the whole place with Hargh'Peng torpedoes!

I don't need no "lethal solution", when I have mass destruction!

I agree whole heartedly with the OP, in general, it's totally unforgivable that there's no KDF option in the FE completion. We had two ways of finishing the mission where we go to Obisek's base, we had options for the Ferengi, but not somebody who is a known enemy of the player?

The warping out I can understand, if we killed Kara'ukan, the story wouldn't make sense any more, but as far as I know, the Founder was on the Jem'Hadar ship with her pet Vorta, not mine. There's absolutely no reason I couldn't swing around and attack the enemy fleet while Kara'ukan cahses the Founder. There would've been ways around it, and we know a ship can die even if you win from "A New Link" when the Starfleet ship pops at the end. A quick hail about antimatter containment failure as a result of battle damage etc is all it takes.

In general, there aren't enough KDF style options put into the FEs, if they're going to be truly corssfaction, they need to be remastered KDF side.

I mean, would a Klingon or Nausicaan Pirate or a Gorn really take the time to fix some scared shop keeper a drink? Would we haggle with a Ferengi over information, or shove a disruptor up his nose? The really, truly infuriating thing is, we know they can do very KDF feeling missions. "Second Star to the Right" is excellent, and feels Klingon to the bone. You shoot the hell out of a battleship, board it, massacre the crew, beat the information you need out of the captain, finish it off, then raid one of the most heavily defended installations in the Federation. And the Klingon version of rescuing people from the Breen patrol is suitably different.

So they must have people who understand the Klingon mentality, why is this talent not being put to use? This, combined with the fact we all seem to be able to come up with viable alternatives for KDF endings off of the top of our heads, is what grinds my gears.

I fear that by the time someone remembers to work on KDF faction content, there will be better alternatives to STO out on the market.

People are already fed up of the 'all flash but zero gameplay' and also the 'lock box cash cow milking' in recent months.

At least I will have Diablo III to play come May then WoW's next expansion after that. The same old same old with the KDF only bugs and still dysfunctional cloaking device is once again getting tiresome. There was a reason I unsubbed and stopped playing two years ago. The thin veneer of KDF they paint on these missions is just as transparent today as it was then.

Gods have mercy, you wouldn't really abandon STO for click-n-drool nonsense like Diablo, would you?

And as for the other abomination you mentioned, I shudder in horror at the very thought. At least have the class to play Skyrim or something. There are some very nice mods coming out soon, including the Skyrim equivalent of the BBB mod for Oblivion.

Seriously, what self-respecting Klingon wants to play with elves and halflings?

Now, here's some Oblivion content fit for for a Klingon warrior!

With us warping out the space battle can turn out in any way cryptic want it to.
Aka. last episode will be the big plot twister.

The founder arrives to ds9, the vorta on ds9 steps down, and then the jam hadar fighter arrives with his fleet to opose them?

we don't know yet
This reminds of one of those add Star Trek episodes based on a submarine movie 'Gray Lady Down'. In it there was a ship lurking inside a nebula/gas cloud while other ships dropped depth charges randomly into the nebula. The whole thing felt really badly forced as if someone had said 'lets do this...' and then not bothered to actually adapt it to fit the Star trek universe.

It's a similar problem with the KDF flavoured adaptation of what are essentially Fed stories. What makes sense for a Fed captain (escape with crew and passenmgers alive) makes the Klingon look like an abject coward. They've made some excellent variations previously but this episode is certainly the one thats felt most forced in the plot department and least well adapted. It's still fun to play but the occasional oddities are a bit grating.

Edit: Hmmm it's not Gray Lady Down, looks like my memory is playing up. I mgiht be thinking of either The Enemy Below or Run Silent, Run Deep.

Edit II: Found it, a DS9 episode 'Starship Down' based on a mishmash of submarine movies and badly bolted together due to budget constraints.

I agree, we should have had the option to either Kill the traitor for our own honor, or leave him to rot to ever deny him a place in Stovokor.

However the one thing that really bugs me is that, the Leathan commander, who was your ally and sacrificed himself to be captured so you could escape from the Mars Raid, was one of the mini bosses in there, and you didn't have the option to break him free. You had to either recapture or murder the being to whom you owe your own standing and honor within the eyes of the Empire.

Also, there is an entire Klingon mission dedicated to freeing imprisoned Klingon officers.

Now that the 4028 Prison is known to us, they should add a new mission for us to go back and free those who were left behind, but had fought with honor.
