it is really up to you. those fighters are awesome but if you need to take some of the heat off of you in PVE, use the freighters.

Fighters are good for extra DPS, but the down side of them is they are very Fragile.

The Frigates are good for more control. Yes they deploy Tric Mines. But their DPS isn't as good as the Fighters.

So that is really where it goes.. What does your build need more: DPS, or Control. And if you get under a heavy FAW fireing, how will you handle it.

The Fighters are hands down much better than the Frigate IMO.

All you need to do is slot 2 uncommon or Rare Flight Deck Dutty Officers and you and launch endless waves of the Fighters in has little has 30 seconds (less if you have very rare Flight Deck Officers)

The Fighters are soft but they are quickly replaced and very fast to the target not to mentioned thier Kami runs hurt big time.

Cryptic needs to fix the issue that prevents the carriers deployable from attacking the big gates, even the Orion Fighters have stopped attacking them now

The S'Kul fighter are like mini escorts "Destroy all you want, I'll make more"

Personally I use one of each, I prefer the vercitility.

Be careful with the aux power/Flight Deck DOFFs. I actually had to step mine down to 1 DOFF as I was launching every 9-16 seconds. The ships were despawning to make way for thier replacements before they would fully be in effective combat.

This might be a little off topic but Iíve found that running the Síkul Fighters with the Marauder Shuttles are a great 1-2 punch combo.

I realize that my total fighters deployed numbers drop from 12 to 10; however, what the Marauder Shuttles bring to the table more than make up for the loss of 2 fighters.

The Marauders have a good chance to shut targets subsystems down and the Síkul fighters tear them apart.

The Combo of Síkul and Marauders have been working out nicely for me and Iím able to run them on both my Tactical Captain that uses the KaríFi and my Science Captain that uses the VoíQuv.

On a Side Note:

Loving the Subspace Jump Console, it works great for getting my Carriers in the perfect spots for my combos in PVE and PVP.

The Marauders don't offer to much DPS but their ability to shut down different subsystems on your targets makes up for it IMO.
