Mirror Universe Nemesis would be a great idea, goatee and all.
I'd like to fight myself.

Sounds like fun!

After thinking a bit about it... even in the shows we had (to a certain degree) such characters.

Picard - Q, DaiMon Bok, Tomalak
Sisko - Gul dukat
Janeway - the Borg Queen
Kirk - Kahn
Archer - the future guy

I think that a similar concept could add some more life to STO, if done well, of course. (but since i have been disappointed by cryptic over and over again, i am a bit cautious when it comes to something like that).

Just what I was going to say.

We have them already. What should be done is they should be developed to make them more so.

And I don't want to see something like the Nemesis System for STO. The nemesis meme for Superheroes is a much different animal than for other media. I feel that bluegeek expresses the idea for Star Trek very well.

Using that definitions Federation Captains already has their Nemesis, Ja'rod. We met and thwart him several times during our career. Ja'rod takes on increasing important in the Klingon Empire as does out character. We also ally with and aid Ja'rod and the IKS Kang during the STFs. I would like to see a little more of Ja'rod in STO, but just a touch more. Over use of him would diminish the character.

This is cool. I actually mentioned this a year or so ago. And I mentioned CO. Great minds...

Lots of great feedback and ideas here

One thing I like about the Nemesis idea is that it is a bit more personal than the second grade enemies we all have to share. It would also add some replay value with alts as you can customise your Nemesis every time. Seeing that the tech exists on CO, it should not be such a huge leap to implement it.

I like the Mirror Universe idea

I think we should see more of B'Vat plotting as well. We thwart some very big story-arc-type plots of his (the Doomsday Machine and taking Miral Paris back in time, to name two), and I would like to see more such plots by him.
