A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
heh. I've actually reported those people in those games, yet there was nothing done about it by the mods or whatever. The only time they were banned was when they used racial slurs, or threatening to do things to somebody in real life.
And not all people will shut them out... they just get into a cussing match back and forth, as if THAT was part of the gameplay itself.
*sighs* it one of the reasons why I got tired of such pvp shooting games. The funny thing is that I'm deaf, so I usually just turn off my hearing aids... and don't respond to anybody anymore while I do the missions. This tends to increase my efficiency on those games, as seeing I get so focused on the goal itself that I don't bother with anybody else unless I'm on a team. This results in me having the highest score and that tends to p*** off some people once they notice that I'm a female. so of course I get prative messages that's full of curse words from 14-year-old boys who can't take it that they were beaten by an adult woman.
However, I still tired of it anyway because the social aspect of games makes it ten times more fun for me... and the people on those games weren't just doing it for me, even if the shooting aspect of it was fun. So for shooting games, I stick to games like Mass Effect now. For the socialization, I stick to MMOs like STO.

How did you ever get First Place in that hellish Romulan Temple mission with a level 30 character
Noobness is a state of mind. Calling someone a noob generally indicates that you are.
so if I call myself a noob then I must be right!
Of course I am pretty new to the game, with two characters (level 18 and level 11) and do not know much at all except that I like my new escort on my level 11 character (a Saber with Rapier Nacelles) better in a fight then my level 18 characters Cruiser (the Constitution that looks like a Mini Sovereign) because it is just fun to be nimble enough to turn my front facing to an enemy and hit it with a Type IV Quantum torp (high yield) and a type IV Plasma torp whenever I feel like it
Other then that, I have not figured out much except have my crew do assignments and try to complete missions as fast as I can... so yeah, I am a total noob, but am not ashamed of it. I will learn slowly, but surely.

As far as I'm concerned, that experimentation and progression stage is the BEST time of any game. Thing's don't feel like a chore, and every new map or item heralds an adventure.

there are several levels of noobs
The "newb"... is just a new player really, nothing wrong with that.
The "noob"... is the kind of guy that screws gameplay up for others, but he figures out on his own that he screwed up and next time he may do better.
The "n00b" ...is completely unable to learn or understand whats going on around him, is the kind of guy that falls for fishing mails, has 10 new viruses / malware / browser toolbars on his computer and needs a "friend" to fix it for him.
that said... i complete pulled all that out of my rear end, this is not a official naming convention... but it should be ;P

You are obviously a newb, not a noob. I believe there is a significant difference that you need to be aware of before calling anyone a noob.
