However, it's a fallacy to declare that because all MMOs have a point at which they go down, then STO's issues should be forgiven easily.
Before STO I was addicted to Combat Arms, a game which I'm sure has many, many more players on it. It's more graphically intense and has a lot more going on in it. Yet I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I ever remember the game going down unexpectedly in any given year i played it.
I've been playing STO for maybe two months and I'm already almost out of fingers.
It's a game, downtime happens. I don't see you subbed. Honestly I don't think those of us who don't pay to play the game (myself included) have anything to complain about, since we're not providing a reliable income with which to maintain said servers, much less upgrade them to a (generally nonexistent) point of high reliability.
