A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Yeah. I know it's a pet. but if they can sell the Odyssy cruiser three times, surely they can sell the Aquarius as a pilot able separate ship just once.

You guys rock. I should have asked for 600
Here you go, as promised - full detailed specs on the upcoming Advanced Odyssey and Bortasqu' ships. We are hoping to get these ships onto tribble Monday or Tuesday next week for testing and feedback. As always, all stats are not final, and subject to change at any time.
Overview:
There are 3 new Advanced Odyssey Cruisers and 3 New Bortasqu' Battle Cruisers.
No, I do not have any info for you on pricing, but they will be C-Store ships.
All ships that separate will not allow you to fly the pet crafts (like MVAM). Part of the reason is because we don’t want to take away that special ability from the MVAM Prometheus. Also, note when you separate a ship, you don’t really change what you are - you only change stats. So in the case of the Odyssey escort or the Bortasqu BoP, if you were to fly it, you would keep all your weapons, and not gain any of the weapons or abilities that the escort pet gains. That’s just how the system works.
All ships that separate use new technology that allows you to separate while flying. Also, all re-docking animations will look exactly like your ship (a marked improvement on how the galaxy saucer sep and MVAM works). This new technology will only work on these new ships for now. We will eventually start working on upgrading the other ships once we are certain this new tech is solid.
Each ship comes with its own special console. These consoles may be equipped on any of their sister ships, in any console slot. They may not be equipped on the standard models or any other ship. Each is part of a Set. The 3 piece set bonus:
Decreases the recharge time of the set console abilities
Bonus Skill Stats (Odyssey: Starship EPS, Starship Hull Plating, and Starship Armor Reinforcements Skills. Bortasqu': Starship Targeting Systems, Starship Energy Weapon Specialization, and Starship Energy Weapon Specialization Skills)

its almost as big as the defiant so its by no means a shuttle i kinda see it as a striped out defiant so it cant really go on long journeys

Which makes it being carried by a mothership of some kind.. all the more odd, all in all.
Um... The Defiant is rather small... Most Runabouts are only a tiny bit smaller. Also the Defiant IS a "Battle Runabout". So the line between Small Craft and Escort is sort of blurred.
Also the Tal'Kyr is easily as big as the Miranda or Constitution class ships in the game and BIGGER than the Oberth.
Sooo it COULD be a flyable craft but it IS unlikely considering it is supposed to be equipped with more of a real lower tier Escort's weapons.
You apparently can't fly the Aquarius class escort like you can the separate parts of the Prometheus in MVAM. No mention if you get a flyable version of it when you get the tac variant of the Odyssey, but it doesn't sound like you do.
But it is indeed an escort, and pretty loaded:
It has quad phaser cannons, phaser turrets, quantum torpedoes, and a point defense system.
Here are the stats for the Odyssey and BortaS variants: http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...5&postcount=72
Having an AI pet that is equipped with cannons pretty much sucks ***. The reason is the AI doesn't know how to use cannons effectively, which means this "escort" is going to be plinking away with turrets probably 90% of the time, and doing less damage than if it was equipped with normal beam arrays.
Yeah. I know it's a pet. but if they can sell the Odyssy cruiser three times, surely they can sell the Aquarius as a pilot able separate ship just once.
Considering the lack of new escorts, they really should release it as a separate ship.

They don't have to. There's already a bunch of escorts coming up.
I'm completely fine if they don't release the Aquarius as a playable ship. I'm quite content with the escorts I do have.
Also, did anyone else notice that CaptainGeko pointed out they fixed the re-docking sequence for the Odyssey's saucer sep, and hope to apply it to other ships in the game?
my thing is about the BOP and the Escort on these ships, is it going to work like Photonic Fleet and disapear after a while or is it going to work like the carriers or MVac where it flies around and helps you until you ask it to come back. 3 minute reset time? If I ask it to come back can I reduce the reset time? (a feature that should have been included in the mvac and carriers).
THESE are important questions that will answer the question as to whether i buy it or not
