I am seeing in my combat log during some recent STF's that I periodically deal 1000 Kinetic Damage to Donatra's ship with something called a Chaotic Particle Stream.

I have no clue what is creating this damage.

Is it somehow related to my using x3 parts of the Borg Retro Set? Nothing in the wiki mentions it.

I am using regular phaser arrays; a Quantum Torp, and a Tricobalt Torp and the new Jem'Hadar Shield.

Does anyone know where this damage is coming from.

Since it's always 1000 damage, I think this is the proc from [Borg] weapons. The [Borg] modifier on STF weapons is a 1000 damage proc against Borg targets.

I need to get some of the borg weapons if there that good with damage.

It is a low chance of proc'ing, and 1000 isn't very much damage.

A projectile with the [Borg] modifier will always deal the +1000 damage when it connects, however.

I saw in KA Ground a player with a strage weapon. It was firing bolt (Like the proton distortion gun) . I checked the combat log and i saw this

player name deals 15 Kinetic Damage to Tosk of Borg with Chaotic Particle Stream.


What is the name of this ground weapon ?

The ground [borg] proc is the same, but 15 damage instead of 100. So some [borg] weapon.

if it looks like the bolt from the proton rifle, it's probably an antiproton weapon, the proton rifle fires an anti-proton bolt as the primary attack.
