Each person values money differently. $50.00 doesn't even cover taking my 4-person family to see The Lorax at the theater on Friday.

Think of it this way, You can buy the entire game for $8 right now on Steam, it comes with thirty ships (including three shuttles). Sixteen of which have three costumes each, and an additional eight of which have two costumes.

$8 = 30 ships.
$50 = 3 ships.

Seems a mite bit off balanced to me.

I have no opinion either way, I have one of each Career, and they have all the slots they need to have all their appropriate endgame ships from the Vet rewards I've accumulated.

But I'm not opposed to your cause.

Indeed everyone values money differently. Therefore my comparison to other games - which you can usually buy at release for the same price as three thirds of a single ship in STO cost. I for one don't see how this fits anyhow in being a "good deal".

Individual wants doesn't really have any monetary value. You think $50.00 is too high. That's your standard. Others won't give it a second's thought.

As I said above, I'll get mine for free just by dumping some of the 21-26k Dilithium I earn every single day. When you're earning around 100 CP a day just playing spending 4,000 doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

You don't have to buy the game at all.

4000 is a bit pricey, and in my case, I wont' get it. I have my reasons for not doing so, I've stated them before so don't need to rehash it but 50 is a bit steep. I make, a very nice wage, enough to make 50 trivial, and I still will not spend that much on them. ever.

I'll be passing on this. To me, a new BO layout and one ability does not warrant a 2000c price tag. The three for 2000c was a nice move on Cryptic's part. There's no doubt that some players will jump on that. I swear, Science captains are gonna have some crazy fun.

Saucer Separation + Escort pet + Photonic Fleet = good times.

Now, I eagerly await any news on the Galaxy Ship pack....

I for one think 4000 for the lot is okay. not good not bad they could have gone higher or just stuck with 2000 for each and i imagine people would still pay the money, or if they have been clever and got the C store points of the dil exchange when they were cheep and sell them now for a profit they will be able to buy even more later on when the prices go back down which they will. they will be high for a few days after the ships go live but then after that they will settle down again.
either way i will be getting them
