# 1 Field Generator stacks

Problem: The Field Generator console (+35% shield capacity) stacks.

Expected behaviour: Only the first Field Generator affects stats. (This is the behaviour that this console has had ever since its introduction.)

How to reproduce:
1) Go to system space (not sector space)
2) Equip more than one Field Generator on a starship
3) Watch how the shield capacity stat changes


This is a major balance problem and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. At the very least it needs to be clarified whether this new behaviour is a bug or truly intended.

You would think that with all the money from lottery ships and c-store p2w sales that they could afford to hire some competent help.

I know that if I broke something everytime I fixed something else I would be unemployed in short order.

Dude back in the day I thought to myself... "So I'm paying a subscription, paid for multiple respecs, paid for a few ships, and this is what they offer?" Truth hurts, it's my honest criticism.

Bumping. This is a critical bug. (Although it led to some hilarious C&H matches.)

3 consoles puts my Ody shields at over 20K per facing...

Just great how much more shield can Cryptic screw up ?

Maco, Jem Hadar, now the consoles....

Let me guess it takes at least another week to get that fixed....

This is ruining PvP fairly well. Especially when you get a ship with 4 science consoles.. you end up never touching their hull. I tried it with a few friends and just 2 consoles stacked, and they had a very difficult time with it compared to normal.

Of course when this gets patched, all those extra consoles are gonna become very expensive bound paperweights.

Just pull them from your other ships, if you have a few end-game ships.
