I do begin to wonder if they're not delliberately creating balance wrecking bugs to drive the PVP community away Ker'rat becomes less playable as the weeks go by. Then we got voldy back. Then we got the Jem'Hadar shield distribution boff exploit, and now this. GG cryptic.

Yeah, but imagine FINALLY getting that cruisers 4 x 24k shields down, only to have him pop RSP while some dipstick keeps shooting him...

Granted, I like the fact that there is finally a larger disparity between the shields of escorts and cruisers, but this isn't the way to implement that. It's got to be a bug, and as such it will eventually get 'fixed', so I wouldn't get too attached to it.

Ok I'm going to throw this one out there... no one beat me up....

Seriously the only ship this could be annoying on would be sci ships running 4 of them.... of course they would be limiting there pay to win / universal unit by a large margin... I mean really with cloaks abladives mvam units phase cloaks... Myriad of Klink Universal options... Who is really going to run 4 of them... and if they do are they a threat really.

I know Cryptic would never pull it off properly but why not just add diminishing returns on these things... or heck just cap there bonus at 75% like everthing else and let people run 2... too be honest I think I would rather some people have a bit more shielding then yet another universal BS unit loaded up.

The Sci Odyssey? Who wants to fight a ship with 20k+ shields and 55k+ hull? Can't ignore it; it has pretty good damage. Can't kill it; it has good base stats, not to mention some good healing you can stick on it.

And Adv. Escorts as well. You increase your shields about about 50% by adding the 2 extra consoles. That's quite a bit of extra shielding, even on an escort running the Borg shields.

I'd like to see these consoles removed completely, and have the shield modifiers of the various ships adjusted instead.

Honesty if the advanced wants too trade a shield unit for there mvam unit I would say let them...

The sci Oddy ya... hard to argue being able to bump anything up too 20k+ isn't silly...

Just throwing it out there with all the universal stuff right now how many people are really going to rack up a bunch of these things...

Another thing I find funny... people place WAY too much emphasis on CAP... too be honest most of the time I don't even run a +35 at all... GASP. lol

Bottom line is a hardened shield doesn't need 20k cao... it needs around 5k (seriously)... enough to absorb the first hit or two after the resist falls and warns you too put up another one. Hardened shields in this game don't really drop... Unbuffed shields... 20k fantastic you can absorb 2-3 of my cannon strikes. Really the sci oddy isn't really much more of a threat with 4 +35s on... not saying its no better... its just not god mode in anyway.

Again Myself I say let people run 2 perhaps even 3... Better yet allow ONE unit in each of the trees... One in an engi slot one in a sci and one in a tac... Anyway long post too say I don't find the prospect of 20k shields on a cruiser all that scary... resist drops shield goes bye bye in seconds.
