The best way to maximize profits from the c-store would have to be services IMO. These never go out of style, usally require no artwork, and can be used by everyone, regardless of level.

So it only makes sense to add MORE services, to what is already available.

The services that I feel would make Cryptic/PW the most money: race, faction, sex, and career changes.

Race and sex changes are a no-brainer. I could see players trying out multiple race/sex combinations for the same character. Of course, faction changes would be even more popular with more factions. The faction most people would want and use other than SF/KDF would be Romulans IMO. Of course I'd like to see the KDF made 1-50 first, but after that, it should be easy to port over existing KDF content to the Romulans. The Romulans are far more like the KDF than they are like the Federation. Career changes, like from tactical to engineer, would be welcomes by many as well.

Other than the Romulans, a neutral fatction is something that needs to be considered. This is one where the community of players who chose this option could write the story of the neutrals themselves, through missions and events. The neutral faction would be actively courted and influenced by the major powers, and their choice of who to aid could change at a moment's notice. We even have a couple of examples of this from canon: The Maquis and the True Way.

Within the neutal faction, there would be additional choice of careers. Instead of just tac, sci, and eng's, there would be explorers, miners, smugglers, etc. And instead of just escorts, science vessels, and cruisers, there would be mining, exploration, and cargo ships.

In other words, players could choose to remain above the SF/KDF conflict, and pursue peaceful careers.

More to come.

Forgot to mention, a housing service. Players could design their houses using the foundry, then pay to have them placed somewhere in the real universe.

I actually like this idea. I could even see housing on star bases, I mean, Earth Space Dock has a lower level that is accessible, but nothing to interact with, with the exception of turbolifts and empty hallways to run through. I am sure they can add more decks to accommodate more quarters.

I could see it kind of working like this:

1. Buy a housing token in the C-store.
2. Design your home, or choose from a map that hopefully has some customization options.
3. "Place your home". Meaning find a door on a world or station that you like and have it lead to your home.
4. Part of the housing package includes a key which is added to your replicator. You can replicate keys and hand then out to whomever you like (possibly with an option to revoke keys if abused).
5. Characters with key's would be able to see the event leading to the home (basically a persistent instance). This of course means that its possible for many people to have homes in the same place, but the advantage is that Cryptic would not need to make new social areas for housing since you can place your door instance in any social area you please.
