anyway having 3x phaser relys, isn't that cheating, even though yes u can it in the game and there is no rules but to me that seems unfair. I like to balance things out. what the soverign class lacks and needs a boost that what i put in. I do admit just did pvp will 3x phaser relay and full power to weapons and mange it to destory five ships nearly in a row! thats is impressive. Sorry for boasting.

umm, you absolutely without question should 9 both of those. its just a tier 1 and tier 2 skill, they arent that expensive.

crew alive percentage theoretically effects your passive hull regeneration, but its an unnoticeable drop n the bucket compared to any hull heal during combat. no you don't need the torpedo console, or torpedoes. the way the game is set up, torpedoes are only any good on escorts that blast down shields and deliver high yields directly to the hull. cruisers basically have no use for them. but if all your doing is killing npc's you can do basicly anything and it will work. your better off with 3 phaser consoles ether way.

well good! with the right consoles your finally doing enough damage to compete

Everyone is running unified Energy consoles. It's only broken when only 1 ship has the choice to do such a thing and nobody else can. Most Escorts have 4 +26% consoles, Most Cruisers have 3 +26% consoles, Most Sci have 2 +26% consoles.

This is the nature of the game. How is it cheating? It's not even what you would consider cheap it's standard operating procedure for most players to stack their Tac console slots with what ever energy type they use as a +26%.

As to the Original poster, I feel it may have been glossed over but it was mentioned way back at the start.
When you do some large number of phaser damage you get an Accolade, which gives you a 2% boost to DPS with that weapon type. It's under one of the tabs in the Character window, possibly Passives. A big list of your acheivements and what they boost split into Space and Ground.

Example:
Phaser = 250 * (26%+26%+26%+2%) = 450
Antiproton = 250 * (26%+26%+26%) = 445

That seems weak right? That's at 25 power and not taking into account your Energy Weapon skills. Extrapolating it out roughly I got 2250 vs 2150. Because the higher you boost the initial number the larger the 2% becomes. And if I'm wrong and it adds the 2% after instead of with the consoles it's an even bigger boost again.
