# 1 Angry Vulcan out for a fleet
03-21-2012, 10:43 AM
Greetings sentients.

I'm an 18 year old who joined the game about a month ago. Currently my Vulcan is a VA, and I'm flying a free-version odyssey cruiser with (so far normal) STF's in mind. II'm also working on the dilithium to get an advanced escort as well, for the same thing. Having seen some of the teams that the PUGs can throw at you, I've decided that maybe I should see if any fleets are interested in having me. I have a mic/headset, can easily get onto vent, teamspeak 3, or skype. I won't try to rate my maturity because that's for others to judge, but I'd like to think that I can carry on intelligent conversation. I can guarantee, however, that my voice is not high-pitched and annoying.

unfortunately I'm writing this post from a place in which I have no hope of going on and finding my build, but I'm a tac captain flying, as I said, a cruiser. I'm interested as functioning as a tanky DPS. I have experience playing other team-based games, such as World of Tanks and League of Legends (I still play the former if you want to trade shells sometime.) My most recent MMO subscription was EVE online, so I believe I can say that I'm no stranger to space combat.

My native time zone is Eastern- the US east coast.

I can provide my builds and skill layout if you wish.

You may want to look at the Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet (VKF) They are a great fleet and have a Vulcan theme. (however they are not Vulcan inclusive)

I can vouch for the VKF being a very successful experienced fleet.

This Vulcan is very fierce for an 'emotionless' being! Are you sure you are not Klingon in disguise

Thanks James.

The VKF is small but looking to grow. We have a TeamSpeak3 server at your disposal, and our members enjoy teaming to enrich the gameplay for everyone. We are Vulcans and other races who embrace logic and (in 2409) the use of controlled emotion to decisively win battles and protect the Federation. We ally with other Federation Fleets to expand teaming possibilities in-game, and have a worldwide membership of avid STO gamers who have high interest in game mechanics, strategy and tactics, and team coordination so that each member plays to their unique character and ship strengths. We have members who specialize in crafting, others who enjoy Tribble breeding, and others who have rolled new characters simply to be able to team on an even footing with new people to STO and new members. We enjoy discovering new features (and well-hidden old features!) of STO, and are actively discussing a number of subjects including skill point distribution, crafting and breeding tips, ship selection, and specific career field tips. We have a discussion area or "Main Hall" for discussions that are common to all career fields. Please keep us in consideration as you look for a new home for your Vulcan.

As you can see, there are a lot of fleets out there who would be interested, and I won't lie. Most of them are good fleets. Many of them offer a lot of the things we offer at the {UFP}. That being said, let me challenge you to compare ALL of the things offered by the fleets when making your decision.

We have:
-- regularly scheduled events (including both regular and elite STFs)
-- our own website and forums
-- our own e-zine published on a regular basis
-- a quarterly awards ceremony to recognize those who have contributed to the fleet in tangible ways
-- a world-wide community with members online throughout the day
-- leadership which keeps us at the cutting edge of service and technology
-- our own Teamspeak 3 channel as wel as in-game channel to keep both fed and klingon factions in communication
-- a lot o fun.

Really, the best way to find out what we're all about is to visit the website. All you have to do is click my siggy and you're there. I think you'll be glad you did. Tell 'em Stormy sent ya.

If you have not found a home yet, check out the 12th Fleet. We have a large and active STF group going most of the time. Our website can be found here.
