# 1 What does 'Fleet Support' do?
03-19-2012, 03:16 AM
Recently I discovered a new space ability called Fleet Support, which I promptly added to my tray. The tooltip says that it's supposed to call in an allied ship (which would make it the space version of beaming down security ensigns in ground missions). Trouble is, the skill is always greyed out, no matter where I am, or what I'm doing. Is it bugged, or am I just missing something?

Be at 50% damage or less. Then push it.

I could have sworn this 50% hull restriction is listed in the info panel.

Your hull has to be under 50% for you to even hit the button, and it has a ridiculous 15 minute cooldown. Generally you have to hit it right about 50% too, any less hull and you'll actually blow up before Fleet Support gets there (not sure if this is a bug or a feature).

Every once in a while you'll get awesome support like a Galaxy-X or Typhoon class...more often you'll get a Fleet Escort or a DSSV Science Ship...and more often than that you get a Miranda which is essentially a middle finger and a good luck wish from the fleet...

and if your flying in a shuttler or fighter... you get 2-3 shuttles/fighters to help you XD

Fleet support isnt that bad if you got photonic fleet as well.

I've learn fleet support gets a boost if you have just a bit more power to Aux (so i end up keeping a couple of Aux batteries on hand to pop right before hitting flet support)

Thanks for the responses guys! I guess if it does say on the tooltip I didn't notice that bit. And being a Cruiser pilot with plenty of shield and health buffing Boff powers, I'm not usually below 50% health. XD

I'd love to get them all I seem get most of the time is the frigate. Mind you a couple of times I actually got a dreadnaught it was the miror event so it was handy as we were on Stadii at the time.

Photonic is so much better, always get battleships, and yes that is what the games calls them, a sci and a fleet escort. Plus it is on a much shorter cooldown.

I think I have used it twice, its a bit useless of you never drop below 50% though.

With my main being an Eng I'll let myself go to 50% just to pop the extra firepower, then hit some heals and be on my way. It's a simple strategy to use for some extra oomph, and every little bit counts IMO.

Good to know about the Aux boost, might have to try that out myself. I have a crapload of unused batteries piling up in my inventory that I usually mail to my KDF Tac and Sci alts.
