Well perhaps also cause there is no beam rapid fire... honesty with the massive arcs beam weapons have... I have no idea why one skill needs too do both. I am coming around too the beam rapid fire idea... and remove AOE from beams all together... leave that to CSV and Torp spread now that its usable.

People run faw cause faw is busted. Plain and simple. Will it still be busted after this next latest version... who knows.
Quoted for sparkling truth. Being disingenuous does not help the community, and it would be nice to see the community stop lying about things that are obviously broken. Additionally, besides a mix up of "to" and "too" Husanak's posts can be taken pretty much as fact.

Players make the claims of "I've always used it" and then magically when it's no longer broken the "I've always used it" crowd either stops using it or vanishes from PVP all together until the next broken skill shows up.
You summed this up perfectly, they only problem with the deniers are the many PvPers who record all their matches, and save all their combat logs, OOOPS! The clowns who still use things like FAW while it is broken show their character in ways that would not be detectable otherwise, so these outages and breakages of the game serve to show who is a Gamer and who is a Lamer.

Three up, Three down, and that will retire the side!

I, almost, feel sorry for the Feds, they have not had a solid two weeks to work on their builds and piloting in well over 2 months, and are getting LESS skilled because of it. The Feds should be storming the castle when the bugs like this happen, not abusing them as part of their tactical regime. The reasoning is simply this, if you know it is going to be removed do not use it, as that will require you to retrain and retool when it is finally removed. I find it incredible that the Feds would take a vacuous short-term advantage when in the long-term it only hurts them, both in skill and reputation

Enjoy the show.

Did they say what they were going to change the accuracy to?

My fleet mate is going to be sorely disappointed that he's not going to be able to use the same trick on me as I did to him.

But, even if the accuracy is dropped to 90%, that's still pretty good.

Your training should be focused on the core competency skills that will ALWAYS create the conditions that engender victory, rather than passing fads and exploits that will always be contingent on things outside of your control.

Ponder this deeply

See now there's a good solid idea. Beam Overload can just be WAY to powerful when it hits. The damage range on it is just crazy. From a tickle to vaporizing an escort. As fun as that may seem I'd prefer something with more reliable damage and some sort of beam rapid fire or sustained fire fits that bill nicely. So maybe that could be a future power to replace FAW.

FAW really does make the enhanced battle cloak more of a liability than ever. I've always hated that a power could hit a target so efficiently and effectively without the attacker even knowing the target is there.

FAWscorts were an abomination anyway. Until they fix the cannon blind spot by adjusting flight angles ever so slightly the whole concept is built around exploiting poor mechanics. Other ships spiraling is bad enough but escorts doing the same is ridiculous.

When I see massive amounts of spiraling, all that goes through my head is 'here we go again...'

I counter this by hitting evasive and going in a straight line up. This puts my ship above the spiraling opponent, hopefully behind them. Giving me full LOS for my DHCs to engage.

Chasing them around by attempting to spiral yourself increases the time that your heavy cannons are out of arc. Of course, you still have FAW to deal with after you get up there, but at least now you can return fire with your heavies.

Spiraling has not been a problem since the angle of attack was increased.
