ISE. Me in my tac Odyssey, a Klink carrier, MVAM escort, an Intrepid, and what looked like a stock Defiant. Klink almost immediately asks "Does everyone know about the 10% rule?" 4 people respond "yes." The Defiant says nothing. We pop the cube and its escorts pretty easy, and go after the left transformer and generators, taking out the cube. Only then do we notice one of the generators has already been destroyed. Accusations fly back and forth about who popped the generator as we're overwhelmed by a swarm of probes - one which seems even nastier than normal. We finally make it through the mayhem and go to the right, only to find that 2 or 3 of the generators on the right side are gone, with the cube still hovering overhead. Also present is the guy in the Defiant - apparently he'd gone aggro on the generators on the left, then moved over to the right while we were getting buried in the probe spam from both sides. Attempts to contact the guy finally resulted in a couple of lines in what appeared to be a Serbian dialect, followed by a response of "make shoot gate" in broken English.

No getting around the language barrier unfortunately - in those situations you just have to hope that the player has some idea of what they're doing.

Yesterday. We start The crure space normal. I thought. It will be easy. We started. One guy went on the right. I went in the middle. Another went on the left. 2 guys stayed to protect the kang. I start to destroy probes. I looked on the kang. It seemed they deal with raptor. I thought it's ok. After a while I had to deal with a raptor protecting the cube. I looked on the KAng. We lost optionnals. Argh... I went to the Kang. I healed it. Killed 2 raptors. Adn go back to the cube. The guy on the right killed the cube and went to help me to terminate the cube. And at this time my ops said. "you failed!". These two guys were not able to say help.

i always protect kang and often get over run by borg like when someone destroys a cube early. no one generally notices, not always, but often. i usually try to let others know i need help, but when you are up to your ears in borg i find it hard to type sometimes. why don't people use voice more often?? i don't do normals only elites.

I'm a new player...before playing advanced areas of the game I read the forums. It is not difficult to google STF walkthroughs. Why cannot be it a prerequisite to pass a small exam before playing STFs?

Make it part of the game FFS, its not hard.

Worst STF experience: somehow (and I have no idea how), my brain/hand coordination went out the window and clicked "Leave Map" instead of picking up the loot for finishing an STF.

As I'm warping out without collecting my EDC, I'm going "What? No! Why are you leaving the map!"

Ouch dude, that had to hurt. I just realized that, while this thread is hilarious and entertaining, it has over 600 posts, and is one of the longest running threads in the forums . Thats kinda depressing considering that this is a rant/complaint thread about how stfs are broken.

I don't think the STFs are broken in the sense of what's being discussed in this thread - although I won't argue that they're broken in many other senses of the word. I see this as more of a rant thread about how people are mostly utterly incapable of functioning as a coordinated team in this game.

You should fire your Conn officer. He/She should have asked if you were sure you wanted to leave...

I don't really think they are broken either. A number of the people that play the stf's are broken but that's not the games fault. And that's more of what the thread is about. You'll notice in many of the senerios listed here we could be talking about the same person, over and over and over. LOL

Agreed, player fail does not a broken STF make.
Having trouble with ground STFs? Looking for help?
