# 1 Odyessy...how many decks?

I haven't been able to find this info anywhere, and, I know its not relevant to anything in-game. I'm just asking out of curiousity.

I am sure at some point some official statistics will appear or it might get its own technical manual at some point seeing as its CBS official.
I reckon it has 29.5 decks (the .5 is where john malkovich lives)

This is completely unofficial... but I figure about 32 decks is about right, considering it is taller than a Sovereign.

Heres a txt doc with some specs (DISCLAIMER: These specs were made up by me, and are not official):

and the sizes were based on this image:

Nice stats, except for the Heavy Enhanced Deterrence Explorer, which is terrible. I never really liked that fan designation for the Sovereign.

I have the Sovereign on AutoCAD (used for my DTNE Entry for comparison), and the Sovereign Definitely has room for 26 decks per canon. So I can play around with Odyssey's dimensions, but 32 decks seems to be a fair assessment. But, I think it could be more, like 36.

It would be great of someone from Cryptic could get me their size estimates or official sizes, to be absolute.

BTW, Suri. Nice chart!

BTW, Suri. Nice chart!

Sovereign has 29 decks (as of Nemesis). The scale on Suri's chart seems to be 25 meters per square (just for reference).

My guess of 32 decks was based on the fact that the Ambassador-class is 125 meters high, and has 36 decks. Given that the Odyssey-class has parts of the nacelles above the saucer. I figure that cuts off 4 or so decks.

I took Suri's chart and used Photoshop to overlay the Odyssey over the Sovereign, Galaxy, Ambassador and Excelsior to guesstimate height and Use the length of the Sovereign+NX to guess the length, (as a check for the charts scale). My edited image is below:

as far as the odyssey's size goes, i know its nacelle is exactly the same length as an excelsior class, the chart is pretty close to the correct size, considering it was made before we saw how big it was in game.

According to the chart (at the 25m scale) and Odyssey nacelle is 425 meters long, and an Excelsior is 467 meters long. So not exactly, but close. The chart does reflect this, an Excelsior takes up 18 full boxes and a part of the 19th. The Odyssey nacelle takes up 17.
