Because Isihl is grateful for all the additional labor, we've added a new hourly event to the “Today’s Events” section of the mission journal. If you complete the above daily mission during this time, Isihl will lower her cut of the profits and you can earn 50 percent more Dilithium than you will at any other time!
Good to know that 50% of 100 is 40...

...wait, what?

Seriously Cryptic, do you think players are that naive that they don't know the basics of math? The average I get from one site is ~900 points, which normally gave me 100 dilithium + some anomalies. Now I got similar score during the mining event, which you've said was supposed to provide 50% more dilithium than normal, and yet I keep getting 140 max, even if I go close to 1000 points.

You know, this is just sad, to be honest. All the time and effort that was put into this (honestly) nice daily (location, tech, minigame) turned up to be not worth players' time, and I doubt even the beginners are going to stick with this tedious process, seeing how minor the rewards are, even during the mining event. In addition, the other EVA Suits are just of different colour, and yet you expect us to pay ~300,000 dilithium for them? That's just silly...

I'm sorry if I sound ungrateful, but this F2P formula is making you forget that players who'd like to stick with the game expect something else. Even something basic, like a simple new combat/diplomacy-oriented daily mission, similar to Eta Eridani or Orelius Sector ones. If you want to keep players playing, even grinding for hours, provide them with something that is worth the time necessary to complete it. Not to mention, more fun...

Or... the least you could do is cover your schemes more cleverly. Because you don't need to be a genius to notice how ripped off players are getting (like this 50% more dilithium stuff). If they'll see this for themselves, they'll simply stop playing, and you'll end up with a nice mission ideas and events, that nobody's doing.

I personally will be happy to keep paying/grinding for new ships, costumes and other toys to support the game, but seeing as this is an MMO game, it would be nice to get something worth repeating over and over. Something like, oh, I don't know... a new STF perhaps? With something other than the Borg? Anything, but not another cut-scene oriented mission, or tedious asteroid mining.

I tried it at the weekend iand i have to say what a waste of programming i can't see many people doing that to get dilithium when theres so much better ways to get it and there actually fun missions, STF's etc.

I wont be going back there boring and not worth it at all and you have them stupid suits at 350k dilithium and the amount you make when mining is pathetic haha. But theres just my opinion.

Why are all the pets non combat there useless why not make combat pets i have a few of them and never use them there pointless if they actually did something that would be nice.

Having played it a few times I think the above post exactly mirrors my thoughts, a waste of really great programming, a very pretty and fun little game that will quickly become tiresome for a meagre reward.

I think the concept is sound and if the biggest complaint is around the math and quantity, well then those can be easily adjusted. I would remind folks that most single mission dilithium awards are only 460. So this mission would be more valuable than any other single-run mission. We're used to seeing 1440 for sets of 3 and maybe that expectation is what is throwing folks off.

Now, what I don't see immediately addressed is the bugginess of the map. Many folks are reporting the inability to see the mining zones and/or unable to clear the 1 or more zones making the mission impossible to complete. I'm actually surprised this wasn't patch fixed within 24 hours. I'll look more carefully for dev response, but in the bugs threads and other places I've looked I've not seen anything.

I haven't had a opportunity to try this new mini-game yet since I am away from my home computer, but the way it sounds is that it will be a short time thrill and then become another grind-fest. I wonder if the concept could have been made better if it was a combination of collect items and ground combat. You are leading a team on a survey mission to clear out bandit/enemy forces so the miners can beam in to mine the precious and critifcally needed minerals. The mission could involve the player having to do scans of target areas and then choose three areas to raid. Some areas will have a higher yield than others and the player can only raid three sites. The agreement with the Ferengi is that the player gets a percentage based on quantity and quality of the minerals.

This would make more sense why a starship captain is running around on a mining site and still involve dilithium farming. The actual dilithium farming is the NPC that beam in after you clear the site and player has to make wise choices based on sensor reading of possible quantity, quality, and depth (the deeper th vain the more difficult to reach, but more possible the higher pay-off).

I'll try the mission when I get the opportunity, but fear it will be like its space equivalent that had become tedious and repetitious after the tenth time.

In return they removed the PvP Dilithium reward, of receiving 1.4k per 3 rounds. Its their way to "value" this game but its just the opposite. Now we have to get dilithium by two ways, the STF's or the mining. Watch, soon they will remove the STF rewards just to make it harder for us to craft our items, get our ships and finally get an Aegis Set, which i have (happy for that). Im disappointed in both perfect worlds and Cryptic but i think Perfect worlds had the influence with the PVP Dilithium reward mission.

Watch soon they will mess with the Refine Dilithium cap per day thing, just to make it even more annoying.

I view this event pointless, and barely an reward sense you have to way 20 hours just to do it again and you get nothing in return other than 500-1000 Dilithium so called "reward".

as i said before and i think my post was deleted... Good minigame, crap rewards.
