What's the deal with all of the Romulan D'deridex ships regenning their health to no end? I'm attempting the episode Ghost Ship, but can not destroy the D'deridex. I've managed to get it down to 49%, but then it rapidly regens to 70 - 78% even while I'm still pounding on its hull with energy weapons and torpedos. This isn't the only mission either, the ships act the same way in previous episodes that it appeared in. Also, its photon mines never explode, they just stick to my hull and continually cause damage to my ship as if they were exploding.

It's strange this is the only thread I've seen concerning this, as I was about to make one. Something is definately bugged with mines. In my game they don't appear to do any damage, they just sit on my or any allied ship's hull without exploding. I also just fought a Defender with my decked-out escort (2 rare plasma turrets, 1 rare plasma DHC, 1 rare plasma DC, two very rare photon torps.) and it took an unbelievable amount of punishment.

Something went awry with the last patch, I think.

Yeah, I was doing the first KDF only Story Mission (at the moment i can't recall if its Bringing Down the House or The House Always Wins) and for some reason Tarsen's ship is, at first, a D'deridex Defender. It took me 20 minutes to defeat it, and only then because I BO1'd a shield facing and shoved a Bio-Neural Warhead down it's throat causing it to cloak and retreat. It was a Mogai Escort every time after that though.

So these things are showing up everywhere huh? I thought it was mission specific the ones I encountered and needed help to beat, overwhelming firepower faster than they could heal. Hmm, just can't simply grind them down like most other enemies, need to really spike the damage. Tricobalts maybe?

This was just in my combat chat log:

Mogai Escort's officer Heavy Plasma Torpedo deals 37,120 (58811) kinetic damage (critical) to you with Plasma Torpedo - Heavy II.

*insert frowny-face spam here*

EDIT: The above also happened yesterday with a HPT fired from one of the I.K.S. boss-ships so this would make it the second time I've seen that bug.

This just happened again with Topedo Salvo II from a Mogwai Escort that hit me 3 times for about 10,000 damage each.

I guess most players are past the campaign stages of the game so this isn't high-priority, but I think for most professional developers something like this wouled be hot-fix territory. Game-breaking bugs usually are regarded as such.

But honestly i think its an overal plasma issue that started with the borg.

What rank are you? I remeber the Romulan ships and the Romulan officers being tough to kill at the lower levels, due to there heal spams.

So the AI uses its healing powers now? Good thing!

How many of you are using Torpedo: Spread? Because that's still healing targets.

well i just came across this in an advanced mission, a d'deridex defender spawned and even though i have a pretty well geared defiant, i would get it down to 60% ish and then it would just destroy me regardless of the skills i used to mitigate the damage, and yes i was using torp spread II so going to try again on normal and will report back see if i face the same issue.

Ok after putting it on normal i retried the same mission, the second ship to spawn was a mo'arg escort (sp?) instead of a d'deridex defender. I destroyed that with ease and then the 3rd nav beacon was 2 d'deridex defender's!!! i thought i may as well give it a bash because it was on normal instead of advanced, i closed to within 10Km and they did a very odd despawn and a d'deridex battleship spawned in their place.
i killed that with ease and went to the next part of the mission.... the first thing i found was a d'deridex defender in a fight with some klingons, i proceeded to rip it to pieces so if you are trying on advanced just drop to normal for the horrible bits and give it a try.
