I know it's effected by Auxillery power, but even at full Aux it's essentially a 3 min cooldown for a quantum torpedo's worth of damage.
The Secondry ability of taking Aux power offline for a few seconds doesn't seem to work anymore as it no longer seems to break tractor beams.
I suggest right clicking and selecting info and seeing what it says in game.
ATM it seems to be kind of useless but. I took out my my Engines and Deflectors for Borg Tech and the procs from those and the Assimilated Module are so much better for survival in my cruiser.
And I love the concept of it, just hate how it's a waste of time using it. Maybe if it did bonus DPS to Borg Structures or NPCs it would be worth it.
I'm going to take your advice and try it out. It seems sort of a waste to have to collect all the different bits and pieces if it's for naught, but I do have the Borg tech. Thanks for the tip! I really appreciate it.
initially it allowed you to disable structures in the game. KA for example allowed you to destroy the 1st transformer then shoot the 2nd one with Grav Beam, which disabled it, allowing you to attack the gate whilst 1 transformer was still alive but disabled.
It was a fast track way to get optional. Now its abilities are not worth using. Its a simple graphic.
I've been using the full Omega XI set lately with nothing but DHC's and turrets. Retrained a bit and maxed out my Starship Flow Capacitors. With Tachyon glider I'ts nice to see the enemies shields just melt away. I'm enjoying this setup much more than using 3 of 4 from the borg set with XII Maco or Omega sheilds on my escort.
Ive tried that beam and really like Geordi said he ran simulations three times and the local field distrotion or in our case the part that damages the target sucks. He is right by the way, it doesn't do any good
