We will be restarting Star Trek Online on Tuesday, March 27, from 12:00AM to 2:00AM Pacific (0800-1000 UTC) in order to address performance issues.

It involves the server coming off line for two hours. You account will be safe waiting for you when the game servers come back online. The only thing you'll notice is you can't play STO for two hours.

In other Words, you bringing the Server down for 2 hours. Why you calling it "Restart" then?
...
Well maybe "Downtime" sound so Mainstream...

Restart = Reboot of the shards to clear out the cache and such
Downtime = turn them off patch them up and turn them on or turn them off to fix the issue then turn them on

# 10 Times don't match
03-27-2012, 12:22 AM
What I don't get is that it says 12am - 2am. But if you scroll to the bottom of the forums it currently says "All times are GMT -8. The time now is 11:18 PM." Yet the server is already down... Do these guys not know how to tell time? or are the forums, the game servers, and the rest of the world all on different time zones? lol
I know I suck at math but something is off
