Or saying we should be getting better birdge ineriors and not Fluff like this.

Or how this should be a T5 ship because everyone playing the game is at max level and new stuff for new players is dumb.

Or this is just going to be a scam to sell us a +1 three pack of phoenix ships in the Cstore.

You guys are slipping. At the very least I expect all of you start complaining about how inacurate and non-trek the in game model is once we see screen shots.

Personally , I am happy with fewer OP ships, lol

Are you kidding? Kirk's ship is one of the most hi-jacked in Starfleet history. Aside from Koloth (who did a better job than Kruge) and Khan Singh, even a bunch of mental patients managed, to say nothing of extra-galactic beings and computers that must've been related to HAL-9000. I'm almost certain there are more examples as well.

Seriously, if we're gonna get into "anyone can commandeer", we may want to rethink bringing Kirk into this. :p

Regarding the OP, I've been to Utopia Planetia, shot it up pretty nicely. A phoenix pet is something I'm sure many will find cool, but in all honesty, if I claimed and used every ship pet I've gotten, no matter how in advertantly, it'd start looking more like Battlestar Galactica than Star Trek with the ammount of civilian non-combat ships following me.

heh...

They should put a Battlestar Wanna-be Holo in Quarks, for 100 million Latinum.

Then we could all have a rag-tag fleet to follows us around.

While additional bank tabs would be great, the problem is that the fleet side of the banks are so glitch they need to focus on the fixes instead of this fluff that is First Contact Day.

Now I'm sure people would mention the DL to CP, but not easy when it's all spent on VR DOFFs in the DOFF store.
Again, as i stated above perhaps they should fix the problems with the bank permissions and other fleet related issues on the banks.

A whole fleet of two, eh?

The baby Gekli which isn't exactly a ship

The phoenix pet that isn't quite out yet

Oh yeah, there's the SS Azura II (or the KDF equivalent), but that doesn't actually follow you

What else is there? Are you counting the pet versions of shuttles and runabouts? Because those are pet representations of ships that you can take into combat, and not civilian ships.

well darn, as far as Tumerboy knows Utopia Planitia is only for the FC event, but he says a lot of work has been put into it so it may show up again

But, there are a number of issues with that, and I doubt it would happen.

From what I've heard, UPS will be open for the event only. . .
However, there was a lot of work put into this map, and I'm sure it will be used again in the future.
And this is what is wrong with STO, you have those that are making decisions on quick areas such as UPS and not using it as a broader brush and instead a quick area that doesn't expand into the game in general. It is just like the 2800 episode, great elements that dont expand anywhere else in the game or its mechanics and instead is part of a very small slice of the entire game.
