So I've been running this fleet escort build for awhile, and it seems to work well for me. I've used it all the way through normal STF's. I'm looking for suggestions to improve this build to make sure it'll continue to work well through elite STF's. I don't PvP, but PvP players are still welcome to chime in with suggestions in case I do decide to try PvP down the road.
Anyone have any good suggestions to improve this build for Elite STF runs?
Thanks. Personally, I like Driver Coil but I can see where you're coming from. Driver Coil is probably useless in Elite STF and the points better spent on survivability. As I've been told, you can't DPS if you're dead. I do have a question regarding ground skills though.
Why would you take Special Forces and Squad Command? Are these for Ground STF's? (I haven't done any ground STF's yet)

Not just "probably". Driver coil works only in sector space and only for your warp drive.
You normally still have points in there though because travelling can be a drag otherwise and you need to spend points to get to higher skill tiers anyways.

I believe it also reduces the power loss to your other systems when at full impulse in system space i.e. instead of everything dropping to 5 power, they stop at 15 or 20 power, which means you are back to full power a little faster when you exit full impulse. Its not much but it is something.
Well considering I've never seen anyone ever do as much DPS or damage as me... And i posted a lengthy thread about how to be better... Read the thread below this one... Lol

This DPS is scewed because of BFaW spam, effect usefull dps is lower than the 7.5k listed on here.

Ground skill are what ever you like, you only have 66k points to spend, and alot of these pts need to be lower in the tree so that you can get access to the higer levels tiers. These also reflect the Kit that you have equiped so if you are using the Tac Grenade Kit it would be smart to take 9/9 grenades. Personally I use the Squad Command Kit, so the points in Special Forces is usefull for me.
