I'm not quite sure where to throw this question out, so I'm just going to toss it here.
I've been using a combat parser, that I found in a forum thread. What I was really interested in was tweaking my build to max out DPS. So, all I was interested in was DPS.
But, I was playing with it and drilled down to per entity stats. Most of them contain MAG, or seem to refer to it-
Sum MAG
Avg MAG
MPS
That was long winded, contained some good info, but didn't answer my question. If you used a wall of text to say, "it doesn't matter" I may or may not agree with you. That depends on answering my original question.

Does anyone know what these stats are?
I downloaded a program called stoics that breaks it down to total dps avg dps and peak dps. Sounds like your parser is doing something similar

Where did you find stoics? I've been trying to figure out peak damage (total) and firing rate (for torpedos), but all the one I have tells me (that I can figure out) is aggregate DPS.

google is your friend. I just had to find the right search term. I'll have to try it out.

Double click on the parse event(left window). Scroll down to your name, Outgoing Dmg. You can check totals per weapon as well as max/average/min hits.
In options at the top of the program, untick Entity and Source. That will keep things that came from your ship in your character's stats.
You can also right click a parse event and add Shield Dmg to the stats if you so choose.
STOICs doesn't break things down in an easy to read format. It focuses more on trying to seem cool than being actually useful.

I've seen the parts you're talking about. That's what prompted me to post. It had a bunch of stats I wasn't familiar with. I messed with STOIC this afternoon and it seemed much easier to see the info I was looking for. Although I don't pay attention to the charts.
