So...just how many department stores around your neighborhood announce their sales as well as what will be on sale before the actual event begins, hmm?

Umm every single one ever in the history of department stores? Hell they announce like a month in advance too.....not sure what the point of that sentence was. But alas it's Cryptics choice as it's their business.
I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying.

How about "All of them"? Maybe you don't get a daily or weekly newspaper, or watch television or listen to the radio or get junk mail advertisements, but did you seriously intend that as an argument?

Personally I'm ****ed off because I spent 2000 C-points I'd been saving up to buy a ship that's 1600 today, and if this was a Department store, I would be there today receipt in hand returning the item.

Well, there's really not much damage done here. If they had announced this sale on, say, 1 April, you'd still find there were people who had just bought a bunch of stuff 31 March. No real way to avoid that.

Some high-volume brick and mortar vendors will make a sale retroactive for some period of time (say 2 weeks) before the announcement, but that's by no means the norm, and even then there are people that still miss it by a day.
