Welcome Cadets, to your first day of starship combat training. From the Art of War by Sun Tzu to The Red Pilot by Manfred von Richthofen, the great warriors of our age have passed down the arts of war and the skill of fighting since as long as humanity has wielded clubs.

Here today, we are going to examine the fundamentals of starship combat based on data and opinions gathered from hundreds of start fleet captains who've battled against on of our newest threat, the Klingons. Here, for you studies, are the top 10 principles every Starfleet captain must follow to ensure a victory. Follow these 10 simple rules to the letter and I guarantee you not only will your ship become an invincible Goliath that strikes fear into the heart of the empire, but all your fellow captains will be astounded at your amazing display of captaining skill.

Rule 1: If you can't see anything, nothing can see you.

Rule 2: Klingons are very obvious, they are always found where expected.

Rule 3: Your not a really a man unless you fight alone. Which flows into...

Rule 4: There's nobody at that captured Klingon point, so go show some initiative and get it. But...

Rule 5: If there are Kligons at multiple points always engage the largest group that takes the longest time to defeat. And...

Rule 6: Always coordinate your efforts on the toughest ship with the most defensive skills as they die extremely fast. But remember to...

Rule 7: Ignore those Birds of Prey on your six. Smaller ships are not very threatening.

Rule 8: I can't stress this enough. Starfleet is at it's best when all ships are spread uniformly across the map. The basis for all starfleet combat. NEVER FOLLOW A GROUP.

Rule 9: If you've made a mistake and become a part of a group and it fails(which all groups inevitably do) be sure to send reinforcements in one.. at... a... time... This will confuse the Klingons.

Rule 10: The Galaxy class was good enough for Picard, so it's good enough for you.

There you have it Cadets. The 10 rules for starhsip combat. Burn it into your memory and go show thos Klingon what for! See you all at the Kobayashi Mar... err I mean PvP Battlegrounds.

This is probably the silliest thing that I've ever read. But by all means- ignore our Escorts, and attack our Cruisers/Carriers

ahahahahhaha... what drivel.

You didnt mention my favorite and most effective tactic:

"At the start of any Arena match its always best to Full Impulse towards to the Klingon spawn, that way you can 'get the drop on' any cloaked Klingon ships in the area."

An added benefit to this strategy is that you'll have plenty of power to your engines subsystem.

You DID figure that the entire thing is a sarcastic what-not-to-do list, right?
