# 1 WTF is up with the combat?

Did you change the dynamics on the ship to ship combat. Because I've noticed differences and they suck! The Odyssey is slower, less manueverable, and its weapons have lost some of their effectiveness. What is going on? Is there a bug, are did you change the way combat works?

I did 3 hours of Dailies and an hour of Foundry Missions today and didn't notice anything different in ship combat. Once Daily cycle was in the free Odyssey.

There seems to be some kind of turning bug. I experienced it today in a PvP Arena fight, and others have reported this, too.

Yeah, the turn bug is in the Patch Notes from yesterday, but it's related to RSP, IIRC.

My Recon Science Vessel, Advanced Escort, Odyssey and Bird of Prey seem to turn just fine still. My weapons seem to do the same amount of damage and the range on them is still 10km.

It is not the weapons or turn mechanic bug, while it is there, it is not what you are seeing.

What has happen basically is a unmentioned nerf of the shield generator console and of shield distro that is occurring for certain ships. I found a few setups that are not recycling shields very well. Also there is a new wrinkle to the shield regen. Its down about 19 to 20% from testing

Meaning shields are not regenerating as they once were, and that they nerf more then just the shield generator console. While it may be completely unintentional, I have notice a increase of 8 percent to damage through the same shield i was using vs a static NPC (borg) then what I was recording from just two weeks ago. The only thing showing change is shield reg rates.

RIght now I am trying to find a way to trace this with my parcer data programs.

Hmmm... Interesting....

I was just saying to myself yesterday "Hmm, is this ship turning slower?". However, the values for turn rate in the movement window weren't any different that before (still 10.8 degrees per second). I can't say I've noticed anything as far as shield regen - I may be needing to use my shield heals more often, but it's nothing I can give hard numbers on.

One thing that I did notice, playing with my +40% turn rate console... No matter what the power level or throttle setting, it adds exactly 1.2 to my turn rate. 1.2 is 40% of three, not my Odyssey's base turn rate of six. Any one know the Cryptic Math on RCS consoles?

this bug is happening to me to, i cant turn at all in battle and i am having a hard time turning. Please report this bug to cryptic.
