I'd say in the right circumtances. It's just a game I think anyone can handle a cruiser

Just had a wonderful PvP arena(Fed vs Fed) with the dreadnought. Ended up with 11 kill and 475K+ damage dealt.

There was this strong tanky Nebula retrofit which I just couldn't finish alone but for the heck of it I kept on shooting at him even when my team mates were attacking others(I figured I wanted to test my ship and his and see how the duel would end). In the end one side of his shield was down to yellow and from close range I fired the lance which hit him twice through his yellow shield side and he went from about 80% HP and one side yellow shield and blue anywhere else to blowing up . I couldn't believe it. I couldn't get that kind of result against AI in elite stf.

Galaxy-X could be fun. and it looks very TNG...the memories uummm....I had a crush on counselor Troi and I admire Capt Picard character qualities.

You sir are a testament to going with what you love rather than what is better and still rocking it. The Galaxy-X looks like a sweet ship to fly, not that I would anyway. But you did and you learned how to make it work for you, which means more power to you.

Try it against a Bortas'qu dude and let's see how that goes XD

LOL it was easy I figured I'd rather stick to buying ships which I liked than settling for something which I didn't have a liking in the first place. For the first I'm sure it could be worked on while for the latter even if it turned out to be fine you'd still be compelled to buy the other. In the end it was a matter of economic :p

Umm I have the pack Bortasqu I love the look of that ship too. I think the design is brilliant

The bridge certainly astounds

I always wondered what would happen if the target popped RSP before you shoot the lance?
Does the Lance ignore this ability or would it just fill up their shields?

Yes, I think it is a suitable bridge for the flagship of the Klingon Empire: It makes you look like an Emperor/Empress on his or her throne.

If you're lucky enough to time it right, it fills up your shields nicely.... as long as it doesn't miss. :-P

I found the dreadnaught to be one of the best tanks in an elite stf. I set it up with 1 dbb, 3 dhc and 4 turrets. I set up my engineer in it and I was fully speced into threat control. I found that because the cannon build starts at a higher dps level made it a lot easier to draw aggro from enemies a lot easier then with a beam boat with threat control. With the heal abilities of that ship made it easy to tank while the escorts do their job.

Well he must have have that under cooldown . Kept shooting at him for what seemed to be a long time and only managed to bring his HP to 80% and one side of his shield to yellow. He kept healing his hull and shield time to time. Must have used RSP somewhere before the lance was fired . In the end it was a lucky shot. I didn't expect him to be blown up not with 80% hp left and shield still up(yellow).

I have had some bad PvP arena results too with the dreadnought . The worst when the dreadnought only managed to deal 17K of damage. Yup 17K. It's also luck in PvP arena. If people think you can tank hard enough they likely to avoid you to get other easier and faster kill but if your team mates die easily sooner or later all that is left is you and you can only tank so much against the might of their full team.

Interesting setup. Bold i don't think I'm brave enough to put 3 dhc

I remember your G-X from an arena match. Very Tankie. You flew it well.

Glad you found the true purpose of cloaking.

You might consider the omega shield for the movement buff.

If you have the "Graviton Pulse console" give it a go before you alpha a target. You'll be amazed how well it complements the lance.
