Based on my limited time with the ship I think it can be an excellent addition to a premade. With the right boffs and combos, its quite potent.

Now is the emp thing p2w?

Based on my testing, it only affects people behind you 5km away. It requires an amount of piloting skill. Duration of effect is between 6 and 12 secs based on aux power for the main ability.Seems to be cleared by eng team but could be wrong.

What do you think?
By the way, the missile thing is a waste of time. Better off with quantum torps if you like kinetic.

Dual heavy cannons on a cruiser is for lolz :-)

Looks to me like just another variation on the Odyssey...

The only thing that sets it apart in any serious PvP will be the EMP i think...

Remember that they are really concerned about having power levels so high, so they gave us a console that boosts weapon power by 30.

It adds +10 to weapon power, and +5 engines (and -5 to aux but who cares)

+30 to weapons and projectile weapons (imagine that is to the respective skills)

and +30% turn rate.

For that console ability (or 1/3 of it)

Another part is the holy grail to power drain abilities (on a cruiser console no less)

The reduction of the power tranfer rate by 66% (and that's true 66%, not 66% base) lasts 30s and therefore significantly prolongs the time during which the restriction of power levels to 30 has an effect.

The power level resriction neuters damage dealers and probably leads to massive defense penalties because of low engine power. Aux-based heals get cut down massively. EPtX does not work to raise power levels above 30 and batteries are greyed out.

Unlike the Spiral Wave disruptors, this is not just a minor modification of an existing concept, but rather a full P2W console.

It might be OP but I like the concept behind it. Bad times for escorts flying behind cruisers.

I played yesterday against the EMP, and i can tell you it's a bitc*

A true vampire, sucks your energy dry, and my ET didn't clean it, neither HE, cool little thing

That decides it. No emp bursts for me in PvP. Fun whilst it lasted.
