I'll admit, that one was pretty terrible.

Overall I didn't like the FE, it felt rushed.

Well, everybody sees things differently.

I've been here long as well, as noted by my join date, and I simply have a different view, and will tell Cryptic what I feel. If they choose to ignore it, so be it, but I will tell them what i think.

I loved the event system and the Doffs that have been added and I have said so.

I don;t just bash Cryptic, I praise them when they earn it.

Of course I'm upset.

I used to love Cryptic, now not so much.

When they put effort into their product, I will praise them.
When they don't do anything good, I will say so. Vehemently.
Well, personally, I don't believe their FE was bad. But you're missing the point of the mission. It's just supposed to be a short little 5 minute adventure thing. It's supposed to be short, and that lets Cryptic focus on making the long term improvements we all like.

I want to give Cryptic credit for two things:

The sharp creepy music that plaid suddenly in the 1st big room, kinda surprised me (didn't help that my officer used a noisy buff right after it XD). And the last room where they all shout something at the same time, it was loud enough on my comp since I play at a fairly high volume that it shocked me a bit

Overall, it's best to remember, review a mission based on their intentions. Writing such a harsh review, to me, seemed to be somewhat like criticizing Ice Cream for lacking spiciness. You don't like that they made it short... but that was their intention -- they said so in the dev blog IIRC. They weren't trying to make a super high quality amazing mission that would blow your mind away, then made a short, fun and temporary event that gives you a unique reward. Not saying it was great, but I found it enjoyable -- considering it was free.

Click on the Federation/KDF logo on the left of your minimap. Select the "Available" missions tab, and search for Franklin Drake (for Feddie) or K'Men (KDF).

Everybody is entitled to their opinion.

IMO, it is more like hype up their ice cream event, with even more creaminess!

All you get is a subpar kids size vanilla scoop.

Thanks for making a neat little mission to preface this free DOff event.

I remember the last DOff event which was just a log-in and collect event. This time, there was a bit of background, and it made me appreciate the DOff a bit more.

In my opinion, this was a fun little snippet. Raises some interesting questions, and with a little imagination, one can really appreciate the creepiness of the actions of the scientist. It also let you look for clues and take in the scenery. It was nice to have a mission where I actually wanted to stick around and take in the surroundings before beaming out.

I'd say it's up to the player whether they let the event get hyped up. It was said repeatedly that this was a 'mini-episode', and revealed that it'll return occasionally.

I enjoyed the mission, but then again I wasn't holding my breath to see if I would be disappointed in or mildly approving of Cryptic's efforts. I was just looking forward to something different and enjoyed it fine.

so we can get a doff if we do it, but only if we do it?

and btw why does a 1 day mission have a cooldown?

Honestly, I'd be a lot less upset if weren't for the fact that.

Lockbox comes with loads of brand new vanity items, a ship, a shuttle, new doffs, and more.

New mission comes with, mostly pre-existing materials and scenery and could be mostly recreated using the foundry.
