# 31 Hearts and Minds: A Nice Bite
04-12-2012, 06:51 PM
I find myself done with Hearts and Minds and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was made as a Friday 13th little bonus activity and it got the job done with a great atmosphere.

What I find most curious is the community backlash for being so short. It was a little bite of STO goodness that was only made due to an arbitrarily chosen bad-luck date. Why expect mountains?

I expected a small bite, got a small bite. What did you expect and how did it shape your opinion of the episode?

It was fine. I honestly thought it would be a lot more creepier though.

I found the mission rather fun, and fast.... Nice little treat for friday the 13th

Those that are bashing I suggest you chill...

They did not have to release this missions
They Did not have to give that nice Blue quality DOFF as a reward
They Did not have to give the blue weapon as well

If you did not like it, find... bashing it does what? cause flame wars? as someone stated in ESD its Your Opinion during some stupid arguement in zone chat.... and your arguing over the internet.....

Mission 8/10

# 34 Friday the 13th Event

So, I just played the new "mini mission".. It was short, and I found it uninteresting. Please don't send out an e-mail to everyone like you did with the release of the mining mini game that says "new content! available!", because I would classify neither as content..

I expected a quality mission. I wasn't expecting a mountain. I was expecting a small little hill. Not a anthill.

Look at these descriptions:

"13. Friday the 13th event"
"It's a spooky mission from the same guy who gave you "What Lies Beneath!"
"Since Hearts and Minds is a horror story"
"After all, what you can imagine is sometimes more horrific than anything you can be shown."

That hardly sound like walk around, shot a few thing, scan some stuff, oh and clones.

Frankly, they don't have to give anything. That doesn't mean I'll light u p at any little thing they give me. As a subscribed person, I expect some level of quality. Especially since they've show they can do it.

Now, I notice how when good feedback happens nobody seems to get all upset at people praising Cryptic, but feedback that criticizes Cryptic is just bashing. Shouldn't you tell people not just when you like their stuff but also when u dislike it?

I'm giving them feedback. When they do something good, I will give them the good feedback they deserve in that situation.

Its not just that its short.

A short but really good to ok mission wouldn't be a problem.

This seems mostly like a explore the abandoned station mission with better popups.

What are the rewards for this mission? Are they worth it?

I expected alot more from this mission since it was first announced, but I have to admit that although it was extremely short, and was not scary or creepy at all, I did enjoy it for what it was.

It felt like an Outer Limits episode smashed into 5 minutes :p

I'm all for more permanent content, but I can't imagine this one taking up a really big chunk of resources at the studio.
