I got a really big complaint about the Bord STF missions. i take part in normal to elite missions In the Kitamir, Infected Space and Cure Space missions. In fact i do a lot of the damage to the mission to get the requirements done in the 15 minute allotted time. But I hardly get any of the additional rewards that is given.
How about making it to where the additional rewards for completing the missions in the allotted given 15 minute time to all of the players who take part in the mission instead of those who hit the Need/Greed or Pass buttons the quickest. It is just plain BS that I do the largest amount of the damage done and I get absolutely nothing for my troubles. I hardly get defeated anymore, do the most damage and I get nothing but my regular data chips. No Rare Borg salvage because the game system doesn't think I need. BS! Be fare to all or fare to none.
"those who hit the Need/Greed or Pass buttons the quickest." I'm not sure if this was for dramatic effect, but the speed you click Need/Greed/Pass has no reflection on the outcome.
You run into issues with rewarding damage done. What about the science vessel in KA that held a whole side down while the escorts/cruisers destroyed one side? They would do much less damage, but be "almost" more important than either of the 4 others seperately.
Luck is luck, IMO every game that gives gear that a player keeps has some sort of chance involved, even in Diablo, with no "rolling" for loot, it is still a chance drop. Just giving loot away takes away the replay value. Cryptic is a company, they don't want you to just have fun, they want you to spend lots of time (and C-points) to have fun.
The only change I would make to loot is being able to buy Mk XII requisitions with EDC, like 40 or so.
It does suck that a team effort is awarded by chance. I think in the 100 or so stfs I've been in we got bonus 75 times, of those 75 I've managed to get. MAYBE 15 things from the bonus reward.
While I do think there needs to be a better way of distributing loot, if you've gotten 15 things out of 75 tries, then you're 1/5, meaning you're right at the average of each player out of five getting 1/5th of the loot distributed from 75 drops. Which would be *exactly* right on point for an average random distribution.
Not that it still doesn't suck losing out 4 of 5 times, of course.
I think the bonus loot should be an extra chip and item in every ones loot bag. That way it's random as to what you get but everyone gets something extra. The system needs to be changed.
How do you know you did the most damage? I'd like to point out high damage is not always useful damage, I handle the probes mainly and assist with the cubes and things when I play Khitomar, I very much doubt I have the highest damage but by not letting the probes through I'm helping the team a lot.
