I was watching TNG episode The Next Phase and I had a thought, what if we had an episode where we came across the Romulan that was thrown out into space?

the chances of anyone every finding him again are remote considering the vastness of space. the other problem would be no one can see him even if they do. he is still out of phase. which i always thought was kinda cruel because he still out there, just floating around (in game timeline).

It would need a clever story to make it believable.

then again its actually strange the Ro and Geordi who could walk through solid walls did not fall through the floor or get left behind the second the ship began to move anywhere.

How did Geordi and Ro breathe? There are so many "huh?" moments that you just overlook it. It was a high-concept story and I think it worked, technobabble aside. It was also the precursor to Pegasus.

technobabble aside? yeah the thought of having that romulan running amok on my ship is chilling.Bet he would be mad as hell.Thinking of a foundry plot?

The only way I could wrap my mind around the floor and moving problems with the plots is that maybe the Artifical gravity and Inertial dampners still worked on them, since they were only out of phase and not dimensioanlly transcendental

you know, after reading the synopsis of the episode on memory alpha, i recall there is actually an episode of Eureka that deals with the same thing.
